Original envelope containing letters to Pryse Pryse Pryse of Lodge Park, George Griffiths Williams and David Philip, from John E. James of Aberystwyth, auctioneer, surveyor and valuer, and relevant third party letters, 1894-1896. The letters mainly concern the sale of houses and land on the Gogerddan estate at Penbontrhydybeddau, Tal-y-bont, Glasbwll, Aberystwyth and Llanbadarn Fawr, including Penygraig, Penyfron, Cwmcynfelyn, Cwmere, the Gogerddan Arms at Ynyslas, and Rhydtir Issaf, tenanted by John Humphreys. There is also a copy of a contract for the sale of gardens and fields at Tal-y-bont, with plan, 1895. Two letters discuss the proposal for Tal-y-bont agricultural show, 1896.
