Dathlodd y gymdeithas ei chanmlwyddiant ym 1986. = Two volumes relating to Cymdeithas Cymry Manceinion (Manchester Welsh Society, originally known as Manchester Welsh National Society), being a minute book, 1954-1991 including programmes of events, and a scrap-book containing newspaper articles, 1925-1932, detailing the society’s activities and also the churches. The society celebrated its centenary in 1986.

Volume intitled 'Survey. Breconshire estates. 1820', being a survey of the Breconshire and Herefordshire estates of Sir Charles Morgan, presented to him by Thomas Bold, agent, March 1821. The estates are divided into the Tredegar estate (4,555a), Dderw estate (1,572a.), Palleg estate (2,164a.) and Herefordshire estate (487a.), and include interests in canals and other utilities.

Two nineteenth-century tune books now joined together as one volume, the first bearing the dates 1816 and 1866 (inside covers) in the hand of Mair Richards of Darowen, and the second 1850 (inside front cover); the first part contains popular and traditional Welsh song and dance tunes, the second, English waltzes, marches and quicksteps with a few traditional Welsh tunes and hymn-tunes. Also included are an englyn attributed to M[air] R[ichards], but signed below in red by David Richards ('Dewi Silin'; 1783-1826), who may have been the first owner (part one, f. 1).

Journey notes and observations, 1766-1787, including notes from visits to London and Birmingham in 1766 concerning the manufacture of pig and bar iron. The notes contain the names and addresses of businessmen and details of their work, and notes on lead imports and exports in London. Also included are notes on forge processes at a foundry in Bristol, 1787, and observations on water wheels.

The series comprises diaries detailing farming activities on the farms of Penyffridd, 1883-1891, Felindre, 1892-1914, Cil, 1926, all in Berriew, Wales, and Lower House farm, Little Ness, England, 1933. 1/1-5, 1/8 also include notes on the sermons of Rev. E Thomas at Byrwyrdd chapel, Castle Caereinion, Wales.

Black and white photographs documenting research into the life cycle of mushrooms with a view to increasing crop size. There is some duplication.

Legal precedents written in several hands and based largely on legal records of the early years of the reign of George II. Several of the documents recorded in the volume are of interest to co. Middlesex.

Album bound in black leather with gold tooling and slightly damaged. Includes commercially and privately produced photographs, many of Lancaster and the north west of England. Of particular note are images of the Yarlside Iron Mines, street scenes in Preston (Lancashire), Lancaster Quay Commissioners trip 188-, River Thames after a University boat race, numerous views of Downing Hall, Flintshire and grounds, some being snowscenes.
