Dyfnallt Owen relating to the imprisonment of Breton nationalists and the alleged suppression of Breton language and culture by the French state following the Second World War, consisting of correspondence, written accounts of the treatment of individual nationalists, papers relating to the visit of the Welsh delegation to Brittany in 1947, a typescript draft of Yann Fouéré, Breton Nationalism (Cardiff, [1946]), and other general papers.

The 1939 deposit consists of deeds and documents, 1549-1887, relating to properties in Montgomeryshire, Merionethshire, Breconshire and Shropshire. The 1973 deposit mainly contains deeds and documents, 1564-1932, relating to properties in Montgomeryshire, many relating to the Lloyd family of Montgomery. The 1979 deposit comprises materials gathered by J. D. K. Lloyd for a History of Montgomery; a bundle of deeds and documents, [19 cent.]-[20 cent.], relating to the family of Lloyd of Plas Trefaldwyn, Montgomery, and Castell Forwyn, Abermule; photographic albums, 1898-1978, comprising mainly family photographs; a collection of over 1000 postcards and photographs of historic buildings throughout Europe; and seven manuscript maps of land in Montgomeryshire, 1772-1858.

A second donation made in 1936 (listed elsewhere) comprises papers relating to J. C. Owen's ordination, 1883; a letter and other papers concerning the church and parish of Llanafan Fawr [1910]-1911; a copy of Y Dyddiadur Methodistaidd, 1864, with manuscript entries of preaching and other engagements, disbursements, etc.; miscellaneous papers including a list of vicars of Llanafan Fawr, 1486-1883; and items relating to the work of J.
