A large collection of papers containing letters from various correspondents to R. (Silyn) Roberts, some from prominent literary figures such as W.J. Gruffydd, T. Gwynn Jones and Cynan - one letter from David Lloyd George. The topics covered include the poetry of R. (Silyn) Roberts, his work with the WEA and the Labour Party, and personal matters. Some correspondence is addressed to Mrs Silyn Roberts, 1930-1939 and some from R. (Silyn) Roberts to his family, 1896-1930. -- There is an incomplete set of R. (Silyn) Roberts' diaries, 1896-1930. Also, drafts of his own poetry, essays, adjudications, and notes on various subjects, including his own collections of poetry and his biography. There are notes on sermons, examination papers, research notes on Arthurian Legend, applications for posts, photographs, a labour party address and lecture notes when studying at UCNW and at Bala Theological College. -- There are papers, including correspondence and accounts, relating to the First World War and the suffering experienced in Wales; the poetry of Hedd Wyn and the Hedd Wyn Memorial Fund, 1917-1926; a trip to the United States with the Moelwyn Choir to collect money towards the campaign against tuberculosis in Wales, 1911-1912.

Papers of Eryl Hall Williams, 1940-1998, relating mainly to his period of service with the Friends Relief Service in England and Germany (including Belsen) during and after the Second World War; together with reminiscences and transcripts, 1993-1998, of letters relating to his experiences as a conscientious objector while a student at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth from 1939 to 1942.

The 1989 group (no's 1-13) comprises political papers of Lord Ogmore, 1957-1976, mainly relating to party organisation and policy formation, comprising correspondence and other papers concerning the Liberal Party and the Welsh Liberal Party, 1959-1974, Welsh affairs such as devolution, 1957-1976, the investiture of the Prince of Wales, 1969-1973, and various printed political pamphlets. The 2014 group (no's 14-66) comprises family and political papers, including letters to his parent from Penang, 1930-1934, Cabinet Office, Colonial Office and Commonwealth papers relating to various colonies, particularly Sarawak and Burma, 1947-1970, and the investiture of the prince of Wales, 1967-1973.

A notebook containing autograph poetry by David J. Owen ('Dewi Gwyrfai'), Waunfawr, Caernarfon, composed mainly between 1919 and 1943, together with memorial verses to him. Poems found loose inside the volume have been filed separately (MS 21886iiB).

A small manuscript volume, containing copious notes relating to the Calvinistic Methodist cause at Aberthin, 1779-1883. There is also mention of Peter Williams, Methodist cleric, author, and Biblical commentator.

Caernarfon, of sermons preached at Brynteg, Bethesda, Calvinistic Methodist church from its opening, 28 August 1864, until 27 August 1865, together with a pulpit supply list, 1865-1867 (inverted text ff. 86-8); two scriptural essays, 'Traethawd ar y Pwysigrwydd o Iawn-dreulio Boreu'r Oes' and 'Bywyd Iesu Grist yn Fywyd o Esiampl' (inverted text ff. 83-5 verso and 80-1 verso); and verses, 'Englynion Cyfarchiadol I'r Ieuengctyd' (inverted text ff. 81 verso-2).

Letter-book of Thomas Bowen of Pen-bre, co. Carmarthen, superintendent of the Kidwelly and Llanelly Canal and Railway Co., comprising an inventory of the company's records, 1831 (ff. 1-4), copy and draft letters, 1838-1840 (ff. 5-136 verso), a humorous poem on the failures of an anonymous colliery proprietor (ff. 151-5) and an arithmetical problem in Welsh, English and Latin (ff. 155 verso-6).

A volume [watermark 1813] in the hand of Richard Robert Jones ('Dic Aberdaron') containing 'Peithadur neu Lythyreg Hebrëig', an Hebrew Grammar in Welsh (ff. 41 verso-50 verso, 54 verso-132 verso, text in reverse, written mainly on the versos); a short Hebrew-Welsh vocabulary (f. 9 recto-verso); and miscellaneous extracts from the scriptures in English, many written in shorthand (ff. 1-14).

An essay by Harry Lewis, Eglwyswrw, on the history of the parish of Eglwyswrw, co. Pembroke, and on local customs, the winning entry in a competition at Eglwyswrw eisteddfod, 1913, together with a revised copy, 1940.

Two autograph sermons by the Venerable Hugh Jones, archdeacon of St Asaph, first preached at Bagillt and Holywell, June-July 1839.
