Note
Women's Revolutions Per Minute (WRPM), a collection of music recordings performed, composed and produced by women, was set up in London in 1977 in order to promote women's music festivals as part of the Women's Art Collective, distributing radical and feminist titles into independent and mainstream outlets and arenas such as music stores, bookshops, colleges and universities, women's music festivals and conferences. For the first twenty years following its inception WRPM was based in Birmingham, then, from 1999 to 2004, in Manchester. Its archive of over two thousand items is currently housed at Goldsmiths, University of London.
