Correspondents comprise artist Alfred Janes (letter from Curtis to Janes), Oliver Fairclough, Keeper of Art at the (then) National Museum & Galleries of Wales, Cardiff, artist Arthur Giardelli, painter Emrys Williams and sculptor, artist and teacher Lois Williams, the latter enclosing the interview conducted between her and Tony Curtis for Welsh Artists Talking (with amendments in Lois Williams's hand).

Artist Arthur Giardelli was born in Stockwell, London and moved to Wales in the 1940s. In 1948 he was one of the founders of the South Wales Group of artists, which later became The Welsh Group, and also of 56 Group Wales, of which he became president towards the end of his life. Artist Alfred Janes, who worked in Swansea and Croydon, is best known for his still lifes and portraits. He was a member of the 'Kardomah Gang', an informal group of young Swansea artists and writers that included the poets Dylan Thomas and Vernon Watkins, and the composer Daniel Jones. Sculptor, artist and teacher Lois Williams was born in Denbigh and studied at Wrexham Technical College, Manchester Polytechnic and Goldsmiths’ College, London.
