Papers mainly relating to Swansea College of Art, including offers of appointment to Alfred Janes to the College as a part-time Lecturer, 1951-1960; with notes by Alfred Janes, 1962-3; a note relating to National Insurance, 1964; and a letter also relating to National Insurance, 1954, and contribution record, 1948-1949; an application for a lecturer post,1958; a copy of the Swansea Art Society Rules, 1949; together with numerous papers relating to art supplies, including a price list for Visijar Laboratories Ltd, 1965; and invoices and price lists for items such as drawing paper, paint, and brush suppliers, 1950; 1953; and 1955-1961. The file also contains some press cuttings, 1949 and 1958; correspondence relating to Croydon College of Art, 1963 and 1965; and minutes of various arts committees, including the Arts Council of Great Britain Welsh Committee Art Sub-committee (of which Alfred Janes was a member), 1961; South Wales Group Executive Committee, 1956-1957; South Wales Group Council, 1957; a copy of the constitution for the South Wales Group, 1958; and South Wales Group associated correspondence, 1956 and 1961.
