Title deeds for properties in the town and parish of Shrewsbury, in Castle Foregate, Meryvans Street, Corvisers’ Row, High Street, 1564-1680; St Chad, 1564-1778; Frankwell, 1578-1727; Whitley Hall, Benthall and Allesley estates, 1583-1773; Barker Street and Knockin Street, 1597-1674; Clarimond Hill, 1602, 1762; Fish Street alias Milk Street, 1603-1792; miscellaneous properties in Shrewsbury, 1604-1791; Coleham, Sturreyes Close, Abbey Foregate, etc., 1618-1692; a shop in High Street and stable in Rowshill Lane, 1629-1761; properties of the Nicolls family in St Mary and St Chad, 1634-1745; Abbey Foregate, 1730-1744; shops adjoining the guild hall, St Chad, 1748-1755; and Wyle Cop, 1762-1767. The deeds are highly informative for street names, inhabitants and buildings which have since been altered or demolished. Some of the deeds, at least, may have derived from the Purcell estate or the Mytton estate (see Wynnstay rental RA38).
