An incomplete, typescript copy of a work by the Reverend Digain Williams, San Francisco, U.S.A., described on the title-page as 'The Great Hymns of Wales, translated by Rev. Digain Williams . . .', and intended for publication. The text consists of brief notes on twenty-one well-known Welsh hymn-writers (in alphabetical order), with translations into English of some of their best-known hymns. The preface, introduction, and pp. 1-5 of the text, which, according to the table of contents, would have dealt with two other writers, are missing. In some instances, spaces have been left in the text for the insertion of hymn-tunes.

A manuscript of John Roberts ('Ieuan Gwyllt') used originally as a register of the pupils who enrolled in his school at Nanteos Arms [Capel Seion, near Aberystwyth] from its foundation on 12 June to 1 July 1839. The volume was subsequently used, [c. 1839-1840], to record hymn-tunes, hymns, metrical psalms, etc., by 'Ieuan Gwyllt', and notes of sermons by John Hughes, Pontrobert, [Thomas] Richards, Fishguard, David Howels, Thos. Evans, O. Williams, and H. Hughes, Llanrwst.

A composite volume of the period c. 1764-1765 containing transcripts and drafts of reports on education in England, Wales, and Ireland, and of other papers on education, collected by a Russian commissioner with a view to establishing an educational system in Russia. A steward's account book of Newtown (Montgomeryshire) Wesleyan Circuit for the period 1830-1867. The accounts are almost entirely in the form of statements of receipts and disbursements in respect of successive quarterly meetings. Insets in the volume include a receipt, [18]48, from Thos. Kempster, Welsh Pool, to the Newtown Circuit for the payment of £31.3s. in settlement of a claim; statements of prospective income and present income, 1866; and a holograph letter from Jno. Davies, Newtown, circuit steward, to the Reverend Chas. Prest, Islington, London, and a reply, 1866 (the division of the circuit and the possibility of a grant towards the support of ministers at Newtown and Welshpool).
