Papers collected by Sir James Weeks Szlumper, 1882-1900, mainly relating to railways in Glamorgan and the south of England, namely the Barry Dock & Railway, the Vale of Glamorgan Railway, the Plymouth, Devonport and Southwestern Junction Railway, the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway and the proposed Lynmouth and Minehead Light Railway; and material relating to the court cases involving Pethick Bros of Plymouth v. the Vale of Glamorgan Railway and James Nuttall of Manchester v. the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Company.

There are no records relating to the later history of the Company.

The collection comprises business records of David Hughes & Sons, Aberdyfi, namely ledgers, 1878-1946, day books, 1888-1913, account books of receipts, 1870-1905, a bank account book, 1937-1943, and a file of bills and invoices, 1927. There is also a notebook containing minutes and other records of the Sunday school of Tabernacl C.M. church Aberdyfi, 1892-1893, and a notebook containing brief details relating to the Aberdyfi Burial Board, 1909.

The collection comprises the records, 1974-1987, of the Tal-y-bont branch of the Ceredigion and Pembroke North Constituency Labour Party, including minute books, election materials, branch circulars, branch correspondence, and ephemera; papers, 1984-1986, deriving from other groups; and miscellaneous printed materials, 1982-1985.

A collection of manuscripts relating to Coed Coch, Denbighshire.

The papers, 1960-2003, reflect Councillor Ray Davies's life and the political campaigns and activities in which he was involved. Many are cuttings from local and national newspapers and other printed items. Some of the material reflects his campaigns in various elections, others the movements which he supported and in which he participated. A large number relate to the campaign against the community charge in the 1980s and 1990s. A few stem from his personal and family life.

Three lots of Councillor Ray Davies'r papers were received, 2006-2008. These remain uncatalogued.
