Contemporary copies of two sermons preached by Dr. [Samuel] Benion and [Matthew] Henry at Broad Oak, co. Flint, 28 May, 1707, on the occasion of the death [? funeral] of the latter's mother Mrs. Katharin Henry. The first sermon is said to have been 'Occasion'd likewise by the death of Mr. Pell'.

One leaf (which appears to have been used at one time in the binding of a volume) of a document which would seem to be a copy of a manifesto by a French king - possibly Louis XIII or Henri IV - at the conclusion of a military campaign - possibly one of the French religious wars - in which he stresses his lack of funds with which to pay his Swiss mercenaries, repair fortifications and maintain his household, with notes by Egerton B. Phillimore (1856-1937).
