The microfilm contains depositions (in the following order) for the years 1886-91, 1844, 1856, 1865, 1867, 1869, 1872, 1874, 1879, 1882-5 and 1891.

Fifty letters, 1937-1961, from John Cowper Powys (ff. 6-49, 51-60 verso), one letter, 1959, from his companion, Phyllis Playter (f. 50), and six letters and two postcards, 1937-1939 (ff. 62-72), together with an inscribed photograph, 1937 (f. 61), from Llewelyn Powys, to Margaret Moon (afterwards Margaret Newton). Many of the letters contain reminiscences of Montacute, Somerset, childhood home of the Powys brothers, and birthplace of Margaret Moon. Two of the letters from John Cowper Powys (ff. 30-32 verso) are in the hand of Phyllis Playter, writing as his amanuensis. Also included are three letters, 1990, from Margaret Newton to Paul Roberts, editor of the Powys Society Newsletter (ff. 1-5).
The letters contain references to Thomas Hardy (ff. 13 verso, 40 recto-verso, 48), Theodore Dreiser (f. 44), W. B. Yeats (f. 29 verso) and Theodore Francis Powys (ff. 38 verso, 39 verso).

Michael relating to Welsh political issues including Wales TUC, John Jenkins, the Miners' strike and the Ffestiniog quarrymen's strike, the Socialist Republican Party of Wales, Welsh Railways, the Development Board for Rural Wales and the Welsh Committee of the Communist Party; together with material on student politics at University College, Swansea, and other colleges, collected whilst the donor was secretary of University College Swansea Socialist Society in the 1970s.

A manuscript, [1826x1845], entitled 'The Morris, and all other Officers attending upon it', relating to the meeting of veteran Morris dancers at Hereford races in 1609, an event reputedly arranged by John Hoskins. The manuscript is a transcript of part of a larger work which was published as a tract, Old Meg of Herefordshire for a Mayd Marian and Hereford Towne for a Morris Daunce ... (London, 1609). Also included are two letters, 1845, from William Cooke, vicar of Banbury, to an unnamed descendant of John Hoskins at Harewood, Herefordshire, concerning 'a celebrated Morris Dance exhibited before his Sovereign by yr [sic] memorable and learned Ancestor - Mr Sergeant Hoskyns'.

Photocopies of a manuscript in the hand of Harri Webb (1920-94) containing his lectures 'Dic Penderyn a Gwrthryfel Merthyr 1831', delivered to Cymreigyddion Merthyr Tydfil in 1955; together with an English version 'Dic Penderyn and the Merthyr Rising of 1831', delivered to the Merthyr Tydfil Trades Council and Labour Party, 1955, and to other groups and societies in the area in 1956 (it was later published in 1956 as Dic Penderyn and the Merthyr Rising of 1831 (Swansea: Gwasg Penderyn, 1956)); and an account 'Brwydrau Beca'
