Previously deposited by Mr R. M. Thomas, Liverpool, 1935; withdrawn, 1950, and re-deposited, 1954, by his brother Mr W. Oswald Thomas, Cwyrt, Llannerch-y-medd, Anglesey. Inherited by Mrs Lynch under the will of her mother, the late Mrs M. E. Thomas, Cwyrt. Signatures and other marginalia show that the volume was owned in the 17th cent. by members of the Price family of Gerddi Bluog, descendants of Archdeacon Edmund Prys, e.g. 'Morganus Price filius Roberti Price de Gerthybliog' (Llyfr Gweddi Gyffredin Gg8v), 'Edmund Price ai scryfenodd' (ibid Ee3), and by Ellis Wynne of Y Lasynys, rector of Llanfair, co. Merioneth, e.g. 'Ellis Wynne of Las Ynys' (ibid K8v), 'Ellis Wynne 1697' (ibid Dd1), and in the 17th and 18th cent. by Richard Poole of Tyddin y Felin, in the parish of Llanfair, and his family, e.g. 'Richard Poole is the true oner of this booke Anno Domini 1699' (ibid Bb4v), 'Richard Pool his Book 1731' (f. vi verso).
