Papers relating to the composition and publication of four of Tony Curtis's collections of poetry, namely Album (1974), Preparations (1980), The Deerslayers (1982) and Taken for Pearls (1993); poems inspired by Tony Curtis's poetry reading tours of the United States during the 1970s and 1980s and by his collaborations with American poets; and individual loose poems by Tony Curtis, the majority of which include multiple versions of individual poems which demonstrate Curtis's process of development of a poem from rough draft through to satisfactory publication standard.
