Scope and content

Material relating to a 'Poems and Prints' event which took place at Oriel y Bont Gallery, University of Glamorgan, 19 September - 21 October 1994 and which featured the work of Welsh and Anglo-Welsh poets (including Tony Curtis) and Welsh-American artists. Material includes correspondence between Tony Curtis and participating artists (including Fred Jones, landscape painter and emeritus professor at Western Illinois University, who opened the event) and curricula vitae of participating artists. For a comparable event which took place ten years prior to this, in 1984, see August 2002 papers under heading USA: festivals, inspirations and collaborations.

For correspondence and enclosed material relating to a proposed poems/prints portfolio collaboration between Tony Curtis and other poets and the V-6 (Virtually-6) group of artist-printmakers, based at the School of Art and Design in Cardiff, see June 2021 papers under heading Letters to Tony Curtis.

See also August 2002 papers under heading USA: festivals, inspirations and collaborations and June 2021 papers under heading Miscellanea by/relating to Tony Curtis.
