Biographical material connected with Mrs B W Norton's great-grandfather, the Reverend James Stewart Thomas (1818-56), Hay, co Brecon, a missionary in South Africa from 1839, including a transcript of a letter, 1846, from J S Thomas to his parents; a biographical sketch written by his daughter; and a short history compiled in 1987 by Mrs. Norton.

A copy of Henry O'Brien, The Round Towers of Ireland ... (London, 1834) with extensive annotations, most of which are undoubtedly in the same unidentified hand (see pages 146 and 387 for what may be clues as to the annotator's identity). A note on page 505 evinces an acquaintance with the Welsh language but may well have been added by someone other than the main annotator.

A file of contributions and information received by G H Williams for use in the slot allocated to manuscripts and archives on the BBC radio programme 'Rhwng Gwyl a Gwaith', 1982-3 (NLW ex 1087).

Copies of Through the Rainbow (Carmarthen, 1932), The Chosen One (London, 1952) and Green Places [pp. 33-48 only] by the poet David Bateman (c 1898-1967), Cardigan, the first bearing revisions by the author, 1936, together with cuttings of reviews of Through the Rainbow and cuttings relating to the death of David Bateman and his mother.

Y Bibl Cyssegr-lan... (Oxford: W Dawson, T Bensley and J Cooke, 1799), presented to Herbert Evans, Bryneglwys, co. Denbigh, in 1922 on his entering the ministry; originally belonging to Mathew Evans (d. 1815), Brynmeredydd, Llandderfel, co. Merioneth, and afterwards to his brother John Evans (d. 1872), Hendremorfydd, Corwen. Bears the signatures of Evan Evans and Mathew Evans and manuscript memoranda, including religious verse and a note on the death of Mathew Evans.
