The memoirs of Evan Williams (1887-1975), Brynaman and Llandudno, written 1944-1946, containing his recollections of life in the coalmining community of Brynaman, co. Carmarthen, 1890s-1933, with special reference to music and religion. An essay by Evan Williams 'Atgofion am fro arbennig a'i chymeriadau' was awarded part of the 'Llandybïe Prize' at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Bala, 1967. For a summary of his reminiscences of his father William Richard Williams (1855-1922) see 'Y Dysgedydd', 148 (1968), 86-90.
