Manuscript pencil sketch, [1965], of Alun Hoddinott's 'Dives and Lazarus', a cantata for soprano and baritone soloists, choir and orchestra, with words written and adapted by Gwynno James. The work was commissioned for the 1965 Farnham Festival and first performed on 20 May 1965. Also included is a manuscript copy of the words [?in the hand of Gwynno James] (ff. ii-iii) and a letter from Hoddinott to Felix Aprahamian, [28] March 1966 (f. i).
