The Mathias family include Rev. John Matthias (d. 1805) of Lochmeyler, vicar of Llandeloy, who bought Castle Cenlas, c.1792.

Also included in the volume are an obituary of John D. Jones of Eagle, Wyoming County, New York, an emigrant from Mallwyd, and draft essays on 'Dyledswydd Gwraig ar yr Aelwyd', etc.
