A journal of a tour through parts of Monmouthshire and Glamorgan, c. 1809. The volume is illustrated by over thirty watercolour drawings and unfinished pencil sketches by Rose Sotheby, some of them being original drawings by her and others being after [?]William Sawrey Gilpin (1761/2-1843), Samuel Hieronymus Grimm (bap. 1733, d. 1794) and [?]John Smith (1749-1831). One original watercolour drawing, dated 1809, is by Maria E. Sotheby.

Two large scrap-books containing numerous miscellaneous material - photographs, newspaper cuttings, original letters, leaflets and publications relating mainly to William Haines, historian of Monmouthshire and the history of Monmouthshire in particular, compiled by his wife, Mary Haines, Y Bryn, Penpergwm, Abergavenny, with annotations by their granddaughter Lorna Pragnell.
Bound photostat copies of some of the records of the borough of Montgomery (see Annual Report 1936-37, p 24). The records were transferred from the Library to the Powys Record Office in December 1997.
Record (with judgement) of an appeal, 1632, in the Court of King's Bench against the conviction, before a jury from co. Salop, of John Price for the murder of Edward Sontley at Montgomery, 29 October 1628. Counsel for the convicted man claimed that, as the crime had been committed within the county of Montgomery, the trial should not have been held in the county of Salop.
