Five letters and two postcards, 1943-1944, from Gordon Bottomley to Leslie Harries, Llandysul, discussing the latter's proposed free translation into Welsh of Bottomley's verse drama 'Kirkonnel Lea' (see his Lyric Plays (London, 1932)).
The translation was subsequently published as 'Daldir Circonnel' in Leslie Harries and Jack Hughes, Chwe Drama Fer: Trosiadau (Llandysul, 1944), pp. 47-62.

An incomplete copy of Rhys Jones, Gorchestion Beirdd Cymru ... (Amwythig, 1773), lacking title-page, some preliminaries, and pp. 265-300 of the text. Y Rhagymadrodd (ff. vii-ixv) is a page-proof copy bearing emendations, possibly in Rhys Jones's hand. A mock title-page (f. v) and the missing text (pp. 265-99) have been supplied by Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836), antiquary, together with additional poems by Guto'r Glyn, Hywel ap Dafydd ab Ieuan ap Rhys, Syr Lewis Meudwy, Owain Gwynedd, Syr Phylip Emlyn, Roger Kyffin, and William Llŷn (pp. 301-426), annotations to the text, and other items. Items found loose in the volume have been tipped in at the end and include Enwau ac ychydig o hanes rhai Beirdd gorchestol probably in the hand of the Reverend David Ellis (1736-1795), Cricieth (pp. 439-49).

A copy of Goliath and David by Robert Graves (London 1916), ‘privately printed for a select circle of friends’, including an incomplete letter from the author to his friend Frank [Francis] Jones-Bateman, 27 March 1917, in reply to his criticism of the poems in Goliath and David. The letter was written from Erinfa, Harlech. Frank Jones-Bateman, a fellow officer of Graves in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, was killed during the attack on Engelfontaine on 4th November, 1918, aged 22.

An issue (Cyfrol 1, Awst 1841) of Goleuni Glan Ceri, a hand-written magazine in Welsh edited by Thomas Emlyn Thomas (Taliesin Craig-y-felin, 1822-1846), Unitarian minister and schoolmaster. The magazine was circulated from house to house within the parishes of Penbryn, Troed-yr-aur and Betws Ifan, co. Cardigan (see Yr Ymofynnydd, 1 (1901), 268-9).

An autobiography of Robert Thomas of Llanfechain, Montgomeryshire, written 1863-1864, describing his early life in Llanfechain and other places in Montgomeryshire and Salop, 1836-1852 (ff. 2-9 verso, 11-23 verso), a voyage from Liverpool to Melbourne, September-December 1852 (ff. 23 verso-51 verso, 56 recto-verso) and, in some detail, his life in the Australian goldfields between December 1852 and April 1854 (ff. 56 verso-149 verso). The volume also contains an incomplete summary of contents (f. 1 verso) and a log of his return voyage from Melbourne to London, May - August 1862 (ff. 10 recto-verso, 52-5).

Glyn Jones's 'Seven Keys to Shaderdom',

Manuscript and typescript drafts, [1970s]-[1995], by Glyn Jones of his unfinished poem 'Seven Keys to Shaderdom', on which the version published in The Collected Poems of Glyn Jones, ed. by Meic Stephens (Cardiff, 1996), pp. 111-131, was based.
The published poem consists of seven sections with a prose Prologue, represented in the manuscript by multiple drafts (ff. 1-202, 208-224). Section I was previously published as 'Shader's Vision' in Poetry Wales 19.3 (1984), 51-2, the Prologue and Sections I-III appeared as 'Prologue and Three Fragments' in Glyn Jones, Selected Poems, Fragments and Fictions (Ogmore-by-Sea, 1988), pp. 133-144, and Section V was published in Poetry Wales 28.2 (October 1992), 18-19. The manuscript also includes other material including drafts and fragments of other poems, notes, images and completed lines (ff. 203-207, 225-279). Some leaves re-use miscellaneous letters, newsletters, television drama scripts and other papers. A self-portrait sketch in ink by Jones is on f. i verso.
