John Cowper Powys's A Glastonbury Romance: Draft final pages
The revised and heavily corrected final three pages, 1931, in John Cowper Powys's hand, of his novel A Glastonbury Romance (London, 1932) (ff. 1-3); Powys apparently rewrote the ending at the instigation of Phyllis Playter, who suggested the changes subsequently made to the original text.
Also included is correspondence, 1955-1957, of a Mr Baston, then owner of the novel's manuscript, comprising letters from Powys, 27 July 1955 (f. 4), and the US publishing house Simon & Schuster, 2 September 1955 (f. 6), with a carbon copy letter from Baston to Simon & Schuster, 15 August 1955 (f. 5), concerning Baston’s efforts to find the manuscript's missing chapters, and a letter from the bookseller George Sims, 28 January 1957, offering the present three folios to Baston (f. 7).

A miscellany compiled partly in his eighty-fifth year (1760) by John Davies or David of Pentre Vidoc (or Foelas) and containing eleven psalms in 'cywydd' metre by Sion Tudur, 'cywyddau' by Humphrey Thomas ('Bardd yr Ennig') and others unnamed, an 'awdl gyffes' by Sion Phylip, 'englynion' by Edward Morys, Richard Jones, and Owen Gruffydd, 'tribanau', a transcript of a Welsh historical chart (beginning with a synopsis of the 'Promptuarium Biblia' and continued to the reign of Richard III) compiled by John Gruffudd Eyton (1513), anecdotes, and holograph 'englynion' addressed to John Davies by T. E. Nant. (i.e., Thomas Edwards, 'Twm or Nant').

Freer, John
An essay entitled 'O Ddinodedd i Enwogrwydd. John Gibson, R.A., y Mynor - Gerfiwr Cymreig Bydenwog' [From Obscurity to Fame. John Gibson, R.A., the world-famous, Welsh marble sculptor], by the Reverend B. Menai Francis [Congregational minister]. The work had won a prize at an eisteddfod held at Conway, and according to the author's obituary notice in Y Dysgedydd, 1930, pp. 73-8, had been published in an unspecified, Welsh newspaper. The present copy consists of cuttings, printed on one side only, mounted in a note-book. A manuscript list of chapter headings is given at the beginning, and a postcard photograph of the bust of John Gibson in Conway parish church, has been pasted in as frontispiece.
