A collection from the library of John Davies, much of which comprises correspondence and sermons, but also includes translations of segments of the New Testament, with commentaries; lectures; poetry; essays; a commonplace book; an account book; almanacs; miscellaneous papers, notes, etc.

Papers of John Bedford, 1762-1791, largely relating to his time in South Wales, and deal with iron-making techniques, his interests in experimenting with and improving these techniques, and the state of his own business ventures in forging and quarrying. The papers include notes on iron-making techniques, 1763-1788; management and business papers, 1766-1791; correspondence, petitions and miscellaneous notes, 1766-1789; and quarry notes, 1762-1789.

Deeds, 1547-1788, relating mainly to the family of Howell of Eastlake, parish of Amroth, Pembrokeshire, 17 cent., and Lloyd of Clochfaen, Montgomeryshire, 18 cent.

Records of the manor of Michaelchurch including warrants to give notice of courts, 1754-1849; presentments, 1754-1849; lists of jurymen, 1754-1761; suit rolls, 1754-1761; lists of chief rents, 1816-1849; perambulation, 1817; and a letter from John Trumper, clerk, 1849.

Deeds and documents, 1672-1872, relating mainly to properties in the parish of Llanfihangel Cwm Du, Brecknockshire. They also include some probate documents, extracts from parish registers and financial papers.

Deeds and documents, 1728-1988, relating to the Trewern Hall estate, including the Plough and Harrow Inn. They include documents relating to proposed improvements to cottages, 1937-1938, and the restoration of Trewern Hall, 1983-1988; farm and household accounts, with miscellaneous financial papers and vouchers, 1952-1986; correspondence and papers concerning agricultural improvements and grant applications, 1977-1985; correspondence concerning the tenancy of Plas Newydd, Trewern, 1982-1984; personal and family papers, 1949-1984, relating to William Herbert Chapman (1955-1982) and to Murray Lloyd Chapman, including the latter's research notes and papers, on the history of Trewern and Montgomeryshire families and his work in civil engineering, 1973-1986. Plans of the estate and proposed improvements to the farm buildings accompanied some of the papers. Papers relating to Phase 2 Restoration of Trewern Hall, 1990-1993; were received in 2007, including a diary of events in two volumes; papers relating to Ivor William Lloyd Chapman and Margaret Eleanor Chapman; and Gregory-Allen papers. Four further collections were received in August 2014, 2017, September 2018 and September 2019. The 2014 group remains uncatalogued.

Papers accumulated by Rev. Gwynfryn Richards, including records relating to the Bangor diocese and the cathedral church of Bangor, Caernarfonshire, 1689-1971, including library loans, 1880-1881; papers relating to the Canonry, Bangor, 1947-1949; typescript copies of letters relating to the witch trials in New England, 1689-1694.

The archive comprises campaign papers, 1990-1991, including minutes of meetings, newsletters, and an information pack of reports, press cuttings, articles and pamphlets deriving from the course of the campaign; correspondence and papers, 1990-1991; and miscellaneous papers, 1990-1991.

Research and personal papers of Professor Morgan Watkin (1878-1970), scholar and university professor of French at Cardiff and Swansea. The archive also includes a small group of papers of his son, Dr Iestyn Morgan Watkin, once Chief Medical Officer for Cardiganshire and papers of the Jenkins' family (family of his wife).
