Papers of William George, Criccieth, consisting of his personal and family correspondence, diaries and notes, 1881-1960, and papers relating to his publications and public life (including political, legal, religious and Welsh cultural material), 1883-1958, together with diaries, 1881-1915, of Richard Lloyd ('Uncle Lloyd'), and a considerable amount of correspondence and other papers relating to members of the George family, the Lloyd family and the Lloyd George family, 1766-1981. Of particular interest is a very substantial group of papers of David Lloyd George, including: correspondence with William George, mostly 1886-1918; diaries, 1878-1892; letters from prominent politicians, 1879-1913; other letters, including many to family members, 1883-1928; letters from his secretaries, 1906-1963; and working drafts and notes in preparation for his speeches.

Typescript and manuscript notes, with sketches, [1920s]-[1930s], of William Giles, relating to drafts of books and essays, and lecture notes; letters from Giles to Mrs Hondius-Crone, 1938; letters, 1939-1953, to Mrs Hondius-Crone relating to Giles and his work; printed material, 1937, relating to Giles's term of office as President of the Society of Graver-Printers in Colour; and obituary notes on Giles by Mrs Hondius-Crone, [1939].

William Glynne-Jones papers, 1936-1974, comprising autograph drafts and notes for an autobiography, his novels and short stories; letters, 1946-1955, from Dr Thomas Jones CH; typescripts and cuttings of various stories and articles; and letters, 1944-1969, to William Glynne-Jones offering him moral and financial support. The correspondents include Richard Burton, 1951-1968, Dr Thomas Jones CH, 1946-1954, and Emlyn Williams, 1944-1969.

A collection which comprises mainly of papers relating to North Wales quarries, including union rules, minutes, bank pass books, correspondence, circulars, deeds, etc.; also included are papers of the musician Richard Samuel Hughes, a manuscript possibly in the hand of Samuel Angier (1639-1713), addresses and lectures, sermons, a bibliography, journals, an autobiography, correspondence, poetry and miscellaneous notes, transcripts and extracts by W. J. Parry, together with poetry by other authors and correspondence, and notes relating to W. J. Parry's work on Rowland Williams ('Hwfa Môn').

Deeds relating mainly to Carmarthenshire, 1531-1857, and to other Welsh counties including Brecknockshire, 1655-1800, Cardiganshire, 1628-1819, Glamorgan, 1673-1792, Monmouthshire, 1636-1795, Montgomeryshire, 1675-1702, Pembrokeshire, 1724-1811, and Radnorshire, 1689-1773. There is no apparent connection between the deeds.

Musical manuscripts and personal papers of William Mathias, including manuscript and published scores, 1950-1994; personal correspondence, 1972-1992; lectures and articles by him, 1972-1991; reviews, programmes, press releases, newsletters and ephemera relating to his work and honours awarded to him, 1952-1994; and correspondence of Yvonne Mathias relating mainly to performances of her husband's work, 1987-1994.

The five items deposited in 1995 was incorporated to the present structure and given E2d, B14c, K11b, K11c, and J1d as reference numbers.

Two items deposited in 1998 was incorporated to the present structure and given I1b and K18b as reference numbers.

Two items deposited in 2005 was incorporated to the present structure and given I27a and I28a as reference numbers.

An additional box of William Mathias's music manuscripts were received as a donation in August 2006. These manuscripts have been introduced at the end of the present structure as a Sub-fonds, entitled 2006 Donation, in February 2016.

Further donations of music manuscript scores, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024, have been arranged by donation.

William Mathias Recordings including reel to reel tapes, video tapes and vinyl records donated in July 2015 has been transferred to The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales.

Holograph manuscript of the hymn-tune 'Bryn Calfaria' by William Owen, 1850; four manuscript tune-books and loose manuscript music mostly in the hand of William Owen, including many of his own compositions, (watermark 1825)-[c. 1854]; together with some printed music relating to the composer and photographs relating to the memorial to him erected at Cae Athro in 1913.

A collection, [1896x1937], comprising note-books, correspondence, miscellaneous papers, etc., from the library of the Rev. Professor William Porter and including essays, examination papers and research and lecture notes. Much of the material relates to Biblical themes and to the study of the Hebrew and Greek languages.

John Bevan Roberts, [1930s]-[1940s].

Personal and related papers, 1860-1939, including correspondence, 1871-1890; sermons; [?1870s]-[?1880s]; literary papers; [?1870s]-[?1880s]; eisteddfod papers, 1860-1887; press cuttings, 1914-1939; and poetry, 1868-1918.

The fonds consists entirely of Rev. William Washington Owen's diaries. They detail daily domestic and professional events with occasional comments on national and international affairs. They were written whilst he was a minister at Tonypandy, Bedlinog, and during his retirement at Llanidloes.

Papers, 1835-1934, relating largely to Montgomeryshire which include poor-rate assessments for Penegoes, 1835-1836; account books of Rhydyfelin Friendly Society, Melinbyrhedyn, 1856-1913; a manuscript of Richard Bennett relating to Methodism in Cemmaes; and an autograph album, 1885-1895.

Notes on cataloguing and classification, 1925-1928; correspondence, 1928-1942, 1957; copies of articles and offprints, and cuttings of press reviews; and papers of his father-in-law, Hugh Evans, 1952-1955, mainly notes on publishing, periodicals, etc.

Miscellaneous papers, 1859-1929, mainly relating to the Williams family of Castell Deudraeth, Penrhyndeudraeth, Merionethshire, including David Williams MP and Sir Arthur Osmond Williams MP.

Family papers of the Williams family of Castell Deudraeth, 1859-1929, including a bound volume containing papers, including letters and press cuttings, relating to the general election of 1859 in Merionethshire in which David Williams stood as a Liberal against the sitting Conservative Member W. W. E. Wynne of Peniarth; scrapbooks, 1903-1929, containing press cuttings concerning the family, notably Sir Arthur Osmond Williams, and two typescript essays.

The archive comprises the records of Messrs J. and A. Davies, Llanidloes, including account books, 1927-1972, a bill book, 1957-1965, and a letter book, 1958-1962; and miscellaneous office records, 1872-1964, of Williams, Gittins and Tomley.
