A collection of programmes of the St David's Day celebrations, March 1916, held in various primary and secondary schools in Wales, forwarded to the Welsh Department of the Board of Education at Whitehall in response to a request for such material. Most of the programmes consist of hand-written or type-written sheets, although a few published leaflets are included. Two volumes made up of page-proofs of the 1620 edition of the Welsh Bible (Y Bibl Cyssegr-lan ..., Llundain: Bonham Norton a John Bill, 1620). The lettering on the spine, 'Bibl y Dr Morgan', is inaccurate as the 1620 edition is Bishop Richard Parry's revision of Bishop William Morgan's Bible (1588). Most of the pages are printed on one side of the leaf only. Some of the manuscript corrections are almost certainly in the hand of Dr. John Davies of Mallwyd. Most of the corrections which were not incorporated in the published edition correspond with the list of errata published c. 1672 [?by Bishop George Griffith] as Some omissions and corrections in the British translation of the Bible. A note in manuscript on the reverse side of the first leaf of Genesis is in the autograph of [Rowland Lewis of Mallwyd] (see The National Library of Wales Journal, IX, pp. 495 and Plate IX, 9). The second volume contains a few Welsh prayers written in a contemporary hand, one near the middle of the book of Ezekiel (sig. Ggg6), the others at the beginning of the New Testament.

The fonds comprises papers relating to Professor Thomas Jones's professional and personal life, including his career and research interests, 1922-1972; correspondence and personal papers, 1932-1979; and papers, 1945-1981, of his wife, Mary Eileen Jones (Mair).

Index prepared by Alan Spedding for the Stapledon Trust in 2005 and updated in 2006, of Sir George Stapledon archives held in institutions including the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) at the University of Reading, and Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. He was the first Director of the Welsh Plant Breeding Station, Aberystwyth, 1919-1942.

Research and personal papers of Professor Morgan Watkin (1878-1970), scholar and university professor of French at Cardiff and Swansea. The archive also includes a small group of papers of his son, Dr Iestyn Morgan Watkin, once Chief Medical Officer for Cardiganshire and papers of the Jenkins' family (family of his wife).
