Manuscripts, [1453x1454]-1911, from the library of Sir Evan Davies Jones of Pentower, Fishguard. They comprise a fifteenth-century genealogical chronicle of Welsh and English rulers; an album of watercolour drawings of churches and other notable features of north and mid Wales compiled by the artist David Parkes; transcripts of monumental inscriptions in Tenby parish church; a journal of a tour of Wales, 1836; a volume of music, including works by John Parry (Y Telynor Dall); a volume of pedigrees transcribed by Edward Stanton Roberts; and seventeenth-century Welsh poetry.

A copy of Evan Evans (Ieuan Brydydd Hir), Some Specimens of the Poetry of the Antient Welsh Bards translated into English ... (London, 1764, ESTC T145881), bound with Rhys Jones, Gorchestion Beirdd Cymru ... (Shrewsbury, 1773, ESTC T116041). On blank leaves added to the volume and on the margins of printed pages David Samwell (1751-1798) has transcribed poems by himself and by other writers and there are also obituary notices of Welsh poets and others by Samwell, as well as press cuttings and a printed copy of Ode for the First of March, 1791, St. David's Day. Inscribed to the Gwyneddigion Society of London, by Dafydd Ddu Feddyg ([?London], 1791, ESTC T231564). Edward Williams (Iolo Morganwg) (1747-1826) has added some notes on Glamorgan bards.

Y Fynegres Farddol, being a list compiled by Evan Jones, Tynypant, Llanwrtyd (Ieuan Buallt) (1850-1928) of the titles of volumes of Welsh poems published during the 19th century.

A collection which comprises poetry by Lewis Robart ('Llywelun Ddu Myirion') and a book of hymn-tunes and anthems belonging to him, and sermons by Evan Lewis, Cilgwyn (1788?-1864).

A bound volume containing copies of The Curate (London, 1766) and The Powers of the Pen (London, 1766) by Evan Lloyd, annotated with numerous sarcastic comments by William Price. Rhiwlas, Merioneth, who brought an action for libel against the poet. On f. i is a copy of the inscription on the author's grave in Llanycil churchyard.

A volume (watermark 1832), containing transcripts, [1832x1845], in an unknown hand, of correspondence, 1763-1774, of Evan Lloyd, the poet and satirist of Frondderw, Bala.
The transcripts include twelve letters from Lloyd to a number of correspondents, including his father John, 1763-1769 (ff. 9 recto-verso, 14 verso-18 verso, 21-24, 28 verso-29), his brother Robert, 1763-1768 (ff. 10 verso-12, 27 recto-verso), William Price, Rhiwlas, 1768 (ff. 25-26), and David Garrick, [1770x1774] (ff. 54 verso-56 verso), together with thirteen letters addressed to Lloyd from Garrick, [1764]-1774 (ff. 13 recto-verso, 36 verso-37, 46-47 verso), Sir John Fielding, 1769-[1771] (ff. 30, 35-36), William Vaughan, Corsygedol, 1770 (ff. 33 verso-34), J[ohn] Curre [of Itton Court], [?1766]-[?1773] (ff. 38-39 verso, 50-53 verso), and others. Also included are transcripts of poems by Lloyd (ff. 40-44), an epitaph by Garrick for William Hogarth (f. 37) and a 1784 letter from Selina Hastings, Countess of Huntingdon, to a Mr Evans (f. 45). The letters are not amongst those reproduced in Cecil Price, 'The Unpublished Letters of Evan Lloyd', National Library of Wales Journal, 8 (1953-54), 264-305, 426-448. Each letter bears a note stating that the transcript was 'copied from the original in the possession of Wm Roberts Esqr Surgeon Carnarvon', and each bears the signature of 'O. Jones' (probably Owen Jones, general agent, who was town steward of Caernarfon, 1835-1850).

Also included in the collection are essays on theological subjects by Evan Owen; letters, 1877-1921, addressed to Evan Owen; and material relating to Susannah Owen, wife of Evan Owen.
