Papers accumulated by Dr Kath Filmer-Davies while researching for her book Eisteddfod: a Welsh tradition in Australia (Brisbane: Seren Press, 2001). Included are press cuttings relating to eisteddfodau held in Penrith in 1999-2000 and Geelong in 1982 and 1984; participation certificates and other items issued mainly for the Devonport Diamond Jubilee Eisteddfod in 1988; a paper relating to the future of eisteddfodau in Australia prepared by the Association of Eisteddfod Societies of Australia Incorporated, 1999, and an address, 2000, given by Kevin Hein to the Annual General Meeting of the Association of Eisteddfod Societies of Australia which was formed in 1992; photographs of key figures associated with eisteddfodau in Australia; together with a post card, 1908, of the State Armory, Scranton, Pennsylvania, where an 'Eisteddfod Fawr' was held in 1908; and a programme of the 6th Eisteddfod held at Cornwall in 1998.

Music manuscripts, notebooks, papers relating to the National Museum of Wales and the University of Wales, and other miscellaneous material belonging to Dr Mary Davies (1855-1930) and her husband, W. Cadwaladr Davies (1849-1905). Amongst the papers is a later copy of a collection of Welsh airs, compiled and arranged by 'Orpheus' [James James] for the Eisteddfod at Llangollen, 1858 (now NLW Minor Deposit 150B).
