The National Library was allowed to photocopy a dissertation by E. Margaret Humphreys entitled 'Edgar Leyshon Chappell (1879-1949) A Biography' which was submitted for the Diploma in Continuing Education (Local History) at the University of Wales Cardiff, 1993.

Davies, The Reverend Samuel Davies ''The First'', and his Times, relating to Samuel Davies (1788-1854), Wesleyan Methodist minister, Cilcain, Flintshire, re-written by Leonard Twiston Davies in 1932, containing pasted-in photographs, postcards, typescript pedigrees and notes; together with the original Welsh version, Y Parch. Samuel Davies, 1af, a'i Amserau..., published in 1866, bearing the name of Samuel Twiston Davies and set in a protective wooden frame at the end of the volume.

Three typescript volumes containing details of monumental inscriptions in cemeteries (including Welsh cemeteries) located in Portage County, Ohio, USA, arranged as follows: miscellaneous townships; Edinburg and Palmyra townships, 1805-1993 (vol v); and Paris and Charlestown townships, 1818-1993 (vol viii).

Family papers including an article 'Dylanwad Esiampl' by Dr Rosentyl Griffiths's father Thomas Griffiths ('Brydan', 1869-1953) (see also NLW ex 1605-6); scripture notes by him and two typescript letters, 1918, from Eifion Wyn (1867-1926) to him; a brief biography of 'Brydan' by Dr Rosentyl Griffiths; poems, 1926-1952, composed by 'Brydan' on the birthdays of his daughters, Rosentyl and Bryneilen, and on other occasions; an undated photocopy from Y Darian of a poem 'Darlun yr Awen' by Daniel James ('Gwyrosydd', 1847-1920), written in appreciation after Dr Rosentyl Griffiths's mother cured him of cancer; an account written by Dr Bryneilen Griffiths (1905-1991) of her school days in Cyfarthfa Castle, Merthyr Tydfil, together with her lecture notes on gas warfare during the Second World War; and a typescript account 'Russia re-visited', 1964, by Dr Rosentyl Griffiths of study tours to Russia arranged by the Chest and Heart Association in London, 1960 and 1964.

The Library was kindly allowed to photocopy the diary of the novelist, poet and artist Peggy Eileen Whistler ('Margiad Evans', 1909-1958) for 1947.

A copy of Professor Richard Loomis's talk 'The St David's Societies of Rochester and the Wyoming Valley: Two Traditions', given to the St David's Society of Rochester and the Genesee Region, 6 April 1997; together with a photocopy of a cutting relating to Roy Morgan, a pioneer in radio and television broadcasting.
