A ledger, 1880-1907, of Richard Jones, builder, contractor, and wheelwright, of Twrog Mill, Llanwnda, Caernarvonshire. Some of the accounts relate to the 'Book Depository', Caernarvon, to the Fletcher Slate Yard, Caernarvon, to Penyrorsedd Slate Company, and to schools and Nonconformist meeting-houses in the county.

Account book of John Jones (b. 1815), Llwyn-gog, Pontrhydfendigaid, co. Cardigan, carpenter and stonemason, containing accounts and other memoranda, 1857-1904, mainly relating to building and maintenance work undertaken and including details of payments to craftsmen and labourers. Included are accounts relating to the construction of the English Wesleyan chapel, Aberystwyth, 1869-70 (ff. 109-17, 124 verso-5). The volume also includes diary entries, 1854-9, written in Welsh and comprising mainly a daily work record but also including references to family and local affairs (ff. 1-51); and other miscellaneous material. A letter, 1862, from the Reverend John Phillips, Normal College, Bangor, to Thomas Hopkins, Pentonville, found loose inside, has been tipped in at the end of the volume (f. 324).

Burhan-i Qati, a dictionary of the Persian language, including words borrowed from the Arabic and other languages, compiled by Muhammad Husayn ibn Khalaf Tabrizi Burhan. It was dedicated to Sultan 'Abd Ullah Kutubshah, who reigned in Golconda from A.H. 1035 to 1083, and was completed in A.H. 1062 (A.D. 1651-1652). The work was edited by Thomas Roebuck, Calcutta, 1818, and was incorporated in its entirety by J. A. Vullers in his Lexicon Persico-Latinum.

A volume compiled, c. 1846-1874, by Robert Chambre Vaughan, Burlton Hall, co. Salop [see DWB under Wynn (aft. Nanney, etc.) family of Maesyneuadd, Llandecwyn], containing pedigrees of families from whom he claimed descent, mostly Welsh or co. Salop, in particular those of Chambre of Burlton and Petton, and Vaughan of Burlton. Pasted or tipped into the volume are additional biographical, genealogical and heraldic documents and memoranda, mid-seventeenth cent.-1874, drawn from diverse manuscript and printed soruces, including certificates of baptism, marriage and burial and copies of monumental inscriptions, over a hundred emblazoned coats of arms, and letters, 1846-52, to Robert Chambre Vaughan, together with a list of sources and an index to the pedigrees (ff. 63-4).
