General letters, 1935-50, addressed to E. H. Garner-Evans MP, many on political themes, interspersed with copies of some of his replies. Some relate to his selection as the National Liberal and Conservative candidate for Denbighshire in the general election of February 1950, the formulation of a local electoral 'pact' between the two parties, and the subsequent general election campaign. There is also some material which relates to the National Liberal Party at Westminster. The correspondents include Lord Teviot, 1950, and W. H. Waters, 1948.
