Epoch and Artist is a collection of essays, reviews, broadcasts and letters written by David Jones which were collected and edited by Harman Grisewood. It was published by Faber and Faber in 1959 and 1973. The selected writings were originally written between 1937 and 1958 and discuss matters relating to Wales, and to the nature of art, and artists. The volume includes a Preface by David Jones and a lettered frontispiece, and was dedicated to Saunders Lewis.

The archives are mainly drawn from the 1978 Purchase Box 2, and Group A Boxes IV-V.
