Two scrapbooks relating to the novelist Oliver Onions (1873-1961), husband of the novelist Berta Ruck (1878-1978), the first mainly containing press cuttings of reviews of his works of fiction, 1900-12, including The Compleat Bachelor (London, 1900), The Odd-Job Man (London, 1903) and Little Devil Doubt (London, 1909); and the second compiled by Berta Ruck containing press cuttings, 1946-65, mostly relating to his novels Poor Man's Tapestry (London, 1946), Arras of Youth (London, 1949), A penny for the harp (London, 1951) (see NLW MS 20805C for a corrected typescript), and A shilling to spend (London, 1965); together with obituary notices; and letters from family members, writers and publishers including Dorothy Charques, undated, Rupert Croft-Cooke, 1949, Olwen Caradoc Evans, 1956, John Gawsworth, 1947, Pat Lawlor, 1955, Moray Maclaren, 1957, Martin Secker, 1965, and Raleigh Trevelyan, 1965.

A photocopy of the autobiography, in Welsh, of Trevor Axworthy's great grandfather, John Coslett Thomas (1863-1936), who was born in Tredegar, emigrated with his family to Chubut, Patagonia, in 1875, and to Bangor, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1905, and settled, about 1920, in Los Angeles; together with a pedigree of the Canadian branch of the family, from the eighteenth century to the present day.

Manuscript and typescript drafts, [1970s]-[1995], by Glyn Jones of his unfinished poem 'Seven Keys to Shaderdom', on which the version published in The Collected Poems of Glyn Jones, ed. by Meic Stephens (Cardiff, 1996), pp. 111-131, was based.
The published poem consists of seven sections with a prose Prologue, represented in the manuscript by multiple drafts (ff. 1-202, 208-224). Section I was previously published as 'Shader's Vision' in Poetry Wales 19.3 (1984), 51-2, the Prologue and Sections I-III appeared as 'Prologue and Three Fragments' in Glyn Jones, Selected Poems, Fragments and Fictions (Ogmore-by-Sea, 1988), pp. 133-144, and Section V was published in Poetry Wales 28.2 (October 1992), 18-19. The manuscript also includes other material including drafts and fragments of other poems, notes, images and completed lines (ff. 203-207, 225-279). Some leaves re-use miscellaneous letters, newsletters, television drama scripts and other papers. A self-portrait sketch in ink by Jones is on f. i verso.

A photocopy of a translation into Welsh, mostly in manuscript, by Eryl McDonald de Hughes of the novel El Evangelio y Don Eduardo (Buenos Aires, 1991) by Roy Centeno Humphreys, and an English translation 'Go Patagonia, said Edwin' by the latter of his novel Go Patagonia, dijo Edwin (Argentina, 1993), both of which relate to the Welsh colonization of the Chubut Valley and were declared works of National Cultural Interest by the Argentine Government in 1996; together with Roy Centeno Humphreys's curriculum vitae and photocopies of research papers including letters to Edward Humphreys, genealogical notes, and reviews of the novels, mainly in Spanish. The author is the great grandson of Elizabeth and Morris Humphreys, who came to Patagonia aboard the Mimosa in 1865; copies of both novels have been transferred to the Department of Printed Books.
