The collection comprises autobiographical essays submitted for the autobiographical essay competition, 'Ar fy Myw!/On my Life!' organised by the Welsh Arts Council in 1987. It also includes reports by the four adjudicators on the entries; and press releases prepared in June 1988 giving details of the successful competitors.

Manuscripts, 1901-1971, brought together (as gifts and purchases) by the Welsh Arts Council, 1965-1971.

Papers of the Welsh Baseball Association, 1892-2014, relating to matches, the game in general in Wales, clubs, players and teams, including ladies teams and youth teams, comprising items such as programmes, yearbooks, fixture lists, cuttings, articles, score books and scoring cards, handbooks, rules and official laws, photographs, biographies, correspondence, minutes and minute books, diamond drawings, accounts and financial reports, newsletters, statistical information, league tables and results, together with draft and proof copies of the magazine Around the Bases.

Papers of Cymdeithas Gwenynwyr Cymru (CGC) / the Welsh Beekeepers' Association (WBKA), comprising WBKA constitutional and administrative papers, the latter including a significant amount of correspondence dating from the WBKA's establishment in 1943 to 2021; copies of WBKA periodicals and newsletters dating from the 1940s to the present day; material relating to grant applications, training and assessment, summer schools and conventions and to eisteddfodau and shows; documents and papers relating to the genetically modified (GM) crop debate and to pesticide control; items relating to the WBKA's 75th anniversary events in 2018; and a certain amount of miscellaneous material relating to the WBKA.

The archive comprises papers relating to the Welsh Chess Union and affiliated regional chess clubs, 1954-2014. The first group (2018 deposit) consists mainly of correspondence, minutes, and administrative records relating to chess in Wales, details of national and international tournaments, tournament participation, and papers relating to other chess associations both in Wales and overseas. The second group (2024 donation) comprises papers and memorabilia relating to the Welsh Chess Union and accumulated by the Welsh chess player Iolo Jones, including copies of the WCU magazine 'Y Ddraig', and reports and memorabilia from international Chess Olympiads.

The collection also originally contained four photographic albums which have been transferred for further conservation.

Papers of, and acquired by, the Welsh Church Commission, 1283-1960, including records of the Commission, 1914-1960; records relating to border parishes, 1914-1915; accounts, 1920-1958; papers relating to Sir Alfred Watson, 1916-1941; records concerning compensation to lay holders of freehold offices, 1915-1931; records relating to burial grounds, 1934-1947; records relating to the destination of records, 1914-1960; records relating to parish lands, 1844-1946; manorial records and court books, 1842-1925; transfer of documents, 1822-1947; deeds of properties, 1566-1929; and rentals and surveys, 1919-1947.

A collection of seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth century manuscripts containing sermons and correspondence of Welsh clergymen, who include Lewis Evans of Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn and Llanfihangel Genau'r-glyn, David Price of Merthyr Cynog and Robert Pughe of Dolgellau.

The fonds comprises the administrative papers of the Welsh Committee Against Racialism and mainly consists of letters, 1976-1980; declarations and affiliation slips, 1976-1978; circulars, newsletters and leaflets, 1976-1979; together with a small amount of press cuttings, 1977-1979.

Archive comprises the papers of the Welsh Conservative Party group within the National Assembly for Wales including minutes, agendas and papers for group meetings, Material related to policy development and manifestos for elections to the National Assembly for Wales, material related to the organisation of the group and the Conservative Party in Wales and subject files including files on the party's position on the creation of the post of Children's Commissioner for Wales and the Government of Wales Act 2006.

Commentary on the Psalms, fragment, [1300]; deeds relating to lands in Losdworth, Sussex, 1572-1806; miscellaneous documents relating to land and manors in Wales, 1496-1667; assessment of ship money for Dinas Powis, Glamorgan, [1635]; household accounts (unidentified), 1799-1800, and letter from Henry Addington, Viscount Sidmouth, to Viscount Sydney, 1821.

Records of the Welsh Folk-Song Society, 1908-1993, including minutes, 1908-1957; correspondence, 1915-1975; reports, 1931-1957; financial papers, 1928-1953; publication material relating to the Journal, 1909-1954; executive committee and annual general meeting minutes, 1958-1993; and folk song material, including words and music collected by W. Emrys Cleaver, with related correspondence and notes, 1959-1964, and composed and arranged songs with related correspondence and notes, [1960s]. The correspondents include many prominent composers and musicians.

A further five volumes belonging to the Welsh Folk-Song Society were received. These remain uncatalogued.

Papers of the Welsh Historic Gardens Trust, 1989-2009, including minutes of meetings and other papers relating to the Trust and its activities.

Papers accumulated during the course of Julian Franklyn's research into the recruitment, training, equipment and campaigns of the Welsh Horse (Lancers) Yeomanry, with particular reference to Lord Kensington's role in them, including many records that were originally created by the Welsh Horse itself and first accumulated by Kensington as its commanding officer.
