The second donation, made in 2001, consists of the records of the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, 1980-2000. These mainly include correspondence, posters and artwork, delegation particulars, reports on natural disasters and campaign reports and newsletters relating in particular to the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, 1984-2000; as well as letters, leaflets, paste-ups and minutes relating to other relevant interest groups such as the Swansea Latin American Society, Cardiff Solidarity with Latin America and 500 Years of Resistance Campaign, 1986-1994. There are also reports, subject files and the particulars of workshops and courses, relating to Central America in general, 1980-1998.

The first group, donated in 1999, comprises papers relating to the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign (Ymgyrch Unoliaeth Cymru Nicaragua), 1983-1998. These mainly include executive papers, papers relating to local Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign groups, financial reports, general correspondence, papers relating to delegations made to Nicaragua and other special events, membership lists, and publicity material. The papers were used by the donor for the preparation of his book, Rwy'n gweld o bell y dydd yn dod: Cymru, Nicaragua a dyfodol rhyngwladoldeb = Afar I see the day is coming: Wales, Nicaragua and the future of internationalism (Cardiff, 1998). This group, originally listed in Minor Lists and Summaries 1999 has been added to the existing structure as sub-fonds 1-34.

Further donations, made in 2005 and 2010, comprises additional records relating to the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, 1990-2008. These include correspondence, publicity material, delegation particulars and executive papers, and have been incorporated into the existing structure of this archive.

The 2003 donation comprises records of the Swansea Latin American Society, 1982-1998, and has been added to the existing structure as sub-fonds S. See description at appropriate level for full details.

Papers of, belonging to, or relating to George Gilbert Treherne Treherne, [1885x1924], containing for the most part material of antiquarian and historical interest. They include: notes, extracts and transcripts relating to Wales (particularly Carmarthenshire) and elsewhere, including etymological notes on place-names; extracts from Carmarthenshire tithe records of the 1840s; extracts from and notes on pedigrees relating in part to Carmarthenshire; correspondence, 1890-1924, mainly on antiquarian topics; press cuttings, 1911-1923, including an article on Treherne; draft and preparatory notes towards a work on Laugharne and the surrounding areas; an interleaved and annotated copy of Treherne's Notes on the Dedication of the Church in Honour of Saint Margaret Marlos (London, 1904); an annotated copy of Treherne's Eglwys Cymmin Book of Epitaphs (Carmarthen, 1919); and a typescript copy of G. G. T. Treherne's autobiography.

The Celynog Manuscripts are a collection of miscellaneous 17th to 19th century correspondence and papers, consisting of examples of Welsh literature, Welsh poetry, musical compositions, works on Welsh grammar, medical recipes, extracts from various newspapers and periodicals, tithe accounts, and genealogical, geographical, historical and political manuscripts. -- The collection also contains manuscripts relating to religion in Wales, with examples of Welsh religious literature, Welsh sermons and hymns, and manuscripts relating to the Welsh Congregational churches, and translations of charters granted to the abbey of Strata Florida.

Records of the Celtic League, including minutes of Annual General Meetings and branch meetings and other administrative and financial documents, correspondence, tracts, press releases, petitions, articles for Carn magazine, notes and press cuttings relating to the aims of the League, its policies, campaigns and administration, and also to general matters concerning Celtic countries and cultures, linguistic minorities, and political movements and ideas, as well as the compilation, publication and distribution of Carn magazine.

The playscripts, [1934x2014], comprise translations of plays into Welsh by Emyr Edwards and others which were presented by him to Drama Association Wales in 2005 and English medium plays written by Welsh playwrights or with Welsh connections. = Mae’r sgriptiau, [1934x2014], yn cynnwys cyfieithiadau i’r Gymraeg gan Emyr Edwards ac eraill a gyflwynwyd ganddo i Gymdeithas Ddrama Cymru yn 2005 a dramâu cyfrwng Saesneg gan awduron Cymreig neu â chysylltiadau Cymreig.

This collection includes a translation from the French of a work on Brazilian Indians; Danish-English vocabularies; correspondence, 1867-1917; a translation from the Latin by Edwin J. Hartland; a copy of George Laurence Gomme: The Handbook of Folklore; lists and notes relating to anthropology, folklore, etc.

A collection of manuscripts from the library of Edward Humphrey Owen, including pedigrees, wills and transcripts relating to North Wales; a poor rate assessment book, 1788; seventeenth and nineteenth century surveys of Caernarvonshire; material on ancient British history; the libretto of a comic opera dated [c. 1790]; collections of Welsh poetry; eighteenth century interludes; an account book of Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836), 1815-1817; letters, 1887-1888, to Edward Humphrey Jones; an account of the National Eisteddfod held at Caernarfon, 1821; and other items.

Papers relating to T. E. Owen and his father T. Owen, 1820-1936, including diaries and memorandum books, 1820-1905; correspondence, 1878-1907; a time-book of men building the railway bridge over the Rheidol, 1887, kept by T. E. Owen; monthly summaries of materials used, 1880-98; hay account, l873-1899; printed reports of the Manager and Receiver of the Manchester and Milford Railway, 1882-1894; statements of accounts, 1881-2; rules and regulations of the railway, 1865, 1897; rules of the M. & M. Railway Friendly Society, 1868; balance sheets, 1877-1904; plans and photographs of buildings, rolling stock and personnel.

Family papers, 1880-1990, of Lady Olwen Carey-Evans, comprising her correspondence, notebooks, scrapbooks, and other personal papers (including some papers of her son, Robin Carey-Evans), 1911-1990, and papers, press cuttings, memorabilia, diaries, notes, essays and other items relating to members of her family including Margaret Lloyd George, 1880-1941, Megan Lloyd George, 1928-1983, and Sir Thomas Carey Evans, 1901-1947; there is also a small group of papers, 1898-1970, relating to David Lloyd George.

Deeds and documents, 1514-1813, collected by Richard Williams of Celynog, relating mostly to properties in Montgomeryshire as well as Flintshire, Merionethshire and Shropshire, including the township of Rhandregynwen, Llandysilio, Montgomeryshire, 1581-1605, the township of Bodaioch, Trefeglwys, Montgomeryshire, 1562-1630, and Treuddyn, Flintshire, 1621-1639; and depositions of witnesses, 1580, taken at the Court of the Council of Wales and the Marches, concerning a case of trespass.
There appears to be no single family unifying these deeds, however some individuals and families appear several times: Ieuan ap Richard of Domgay, Ieuan ap Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Sais and his son Gruffith ap Ieuan, Llandysilio, Montgomeryshire (Rhandregynwen deeds), the Pope family of Shropshire (Trefeglwys deeds) and Rees ap John William and Lewis ap John Merton of Treuddyn, Flintshire (Treuddyn deeds).

Deeds and documents of the Wynne family of Ty Gwyn and New Hall (Plas Wyn), Llansanffraid Glynceiriog, relating to properties in Denbighshire, Merioneth and Shropshire, but mainly in Llansanffraid Glynceiriog and Llangollen, Denbighshire, 1753-1878.

Manuscripts and papers of Philip Thomas, [c. 1804]-[c. 1938], including poetry; correspondence; addresses and miscellaneous notes; collections of hymn-tunes and Welsh folk-songs; manuscripts of 'Ynys y Trysor', a translation of Treasure Island, 1920; essays and biographical accounts; minute books and accounts relating to various eisteddfodau, in particular the 1918 Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales in Neath, 1907-1934; and papers relating to Calvinistic Methodism in Neath, 1885-1924.

The manuscripts include the Liber Landavensis (Book of Llandaff), [c. 1120]-[c. 1133]; volumes of Welsh pedigrees, [16 cent.], and Welsh poetry, [16 cent.]; Richard Davies's translation into Welsh of St Paul's Pastoral Epistles, [1546x1563]-[1567x1581]; a manuscript of the Brut in English, [1460x1479]; sermons, [17 cent.]-1811; inventories, catalogues and schedules relating to books, deeds and other property at Oulton, Owston, Llannerch and Gwysaney, 1750/1-1801; a travel journal of Bryan Cooke, 1790-1797, and journals of continental tours by Phillip Davies Cooke, 1815-1824; records of dues for the parish of Mold, 1581-1590; rentals and accounts of the Llannerch and Gwysaney estates, 1730-1843; surveys of the Llannerch and Gwysaney estates, [18 cent.]-[early 19 cent.]; valuations of part of the Gwysaney estate in Flintshire, 1809; pedigree rolls, 1604-1771, of the Davies, Puleston, Humphreys (of Bodelwyddan) and Meredith (of Allington) families; and several groups of letters, including transcripts and memoranda, and other papers, relating to the Puleston, Davies, Cooke, Davies-Cooke and other families, [1487x1503]-1901.

Boxes of photographs being a mixture of those derived from commercial sources (such as record labels, publishers, arts bodies and television companies) and those taken especially for Urdd publications such as features and competitions. Most are the work of professional photographers.

Papers of, or collected by, Evan William Evans, Dolgellau, 1808-[1921x1925], consisting mainly of material of Dolgellau local historical and religious interest, including rate assessments and valuations, accounts, rentals, chapel records and other records, 1813-1877; agricultural, timber, slate and other account books, 1823-1879; papers of T. Mordaf Pierce, including correspondence, essays, sermons and material relating to Dolgellau history, 1894-1914; material relating to Calvinistic Methodism in Llanidloes and Dolgellau, 1808-1918; and correspondence, 1850-1921, mainly addressed to Evans.

Papers of Sir Lewis Morris, including original manuscripts, drafts and proof-sheets; poetry; school and university notebooks; tour journal, 1863; press cuttings of reviews; rent-rolls, etc. relating to the Glamorgan estates of Edward Herbert (1583-1648); recipes; copies of legal material; a commonplace book of H. A. Hampton; farm accounts; Carmarthenshire rent accounts; a Bible and Book of Common Prayer belonging to the Morris family; sermons; correspondence.
