The political diaries of Lord Roberts of Conwy from 1970 to 1996 divided into 18 volumes. The diaries cover most of Lord Roberts' time as Member of Parliament for Conwy and his entire career at the Welsh Office and include letters, newpaper cuttings and pictures added by Lord Roberts. Many subject are covered including the establishment of S4C, Welsh language legislation, inward investment, the Falklands War, the Gulf War, Northern Ireland, the bombing of the Conservative Party conference in Brighton by the IRA in 1984, general elections and the European Union.

Family and personal papers of Marion Warren Williams, 1864-1991, including scrapbooks containing notes, newspaper cuttings and printed ephemera, mainly relating to Guilsfield and Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, 1864-1991; travel notebooks, 1959-1969; family photographs, [c. 1900], and family tree opf Mrion Warren Williams, [20th century]; and watercolour sketches [20th century].

The fonds comprises political papers accumulated by Councillor Mrs Cecilia Barton, Lampeter, including the minute book, 1952-1987, of the Lampeter and District Liberal Association; issues of the Campaign Bulletin, 1984-1888, of the Welsh Liberal Party; records, 1983-1888, of the Alliance Committee for Wales; correspondence and papers, 1986-1997, of the Ceredigion and Pembroke North (later the Ceredigion) Liberal Democrat Association; papers, 1988-1990, concerning the foundation and the early development of the Welsh Social and Liberal Democrats; and papers, 1998-1999, relating to the selection of the Liberal Democrat list candidates for the Mid and West Wales region in the First National Assembly elections in May 1999.

Deeds and papers relating to lands of the Hopkin family and others in the parish of Betws, Carmarthenshire, 1594-1748; papers relating to the Hopkin family, 1719-1898; and a poor rate account for the parish of Betws, 1818.

The fonds comprises diaries, 1883-1933, principally detailing farming activities, a volume of farming wage accounts, 1916-1938, and reports of the cultivation officer under the Montgomeryshire Agricultural Executive, 1918-1921.

E.H.T. Bible's natural history diaries, recording sightings of birds, mammals, sea creatures, insects and plants, mainly in and around Aberdyfi, Wales, with notes on location, species, identification, habits, migration patterns and weather conditions. Names of species are often underlined in red ink. Instances of dead animals, egg collecting, fur dealing, trapping and shooting are recorded, and the need for protection acknowledged. The observations of others are frequently noted, including Dr J.H. Salter and Miall Jones, both of Aberystwyth, Wales, and Mary Richards of Dolgellau, Wales. There are touches of humour in Bible's descriptions of encounters with animals and people. Gardening activities are noted in the later diaries, and, from 1943, rainfall records are kept. Most of the diaries are labelled 'Fair Copy', but the series includes two small notebooks containing draft versions.
