A manuscript volume, [1747x1748], written by an unidentified scribe, entitled 'A Catalogue of the Representatives in Parliament for the Counties & Boroughs In Wales From the first returns of them A[nn]o 1542 to this present Parliament Conven[e]d A[nn]o 1747' (f. 4), listing the Members of Parliament of all county and borough seats in Wales, with the exception of Monmouthshire and Monmouth (ff. 5-62).
The seats are listed alphabetically by county with MPs then listed chronologically by monarch and regnal year; the Parliaments of the Commonwealth and Protectorate periods are omitted.

Seven notebooks containing notes made during, or immediately after, interviews conducted by the donor with Welsh politicians, public figures and activists during the period 1968-70, as research for his D.Phil thesis at Oxford University on Welsh nationalism 1945-70, later published as: The Welsh question: nationalism in Welsh politics, 1945-1970 (Cardiff: University of Wales Press, 1975). The names of those interviewed are listed at the back of The Welsh Question.

One hundred and twenty-four autograph letters, 1959-1974, from painter-poet David ('Dafydd') Jones, all addressed to Valerie ('Elri') Wynne-Williams (née Price), with the exception of two to her husband Michael ('Mihangel') (ff. 54, 112-113) and one to them both (ff. 55-56), discussing a variety of topics including his, and her, health and living conditions, his work, his friends, the Welsh language and Welsh history and politics. An interleaved copy of W. R. Williams, The Parliamentary History of the Principality of Wales..., 1541-1895 (Brecknock, 1895) with copious manuscript additions and corrections in the hand of the author, [c. 1912], in preparation for a projected second edition.
Deletions and minor corrections were generally made directly to the original text with more substantial changes supplied on the interleaves opposite. Among the main additions are details of elections, 1895-1910. There are a few further additions to the List of Subscribers (pp. 213-218) up to about 1919. Three items found in the volume have been loosely inserted opposite pp. 77 and 78.
