'1935 File'. The papers include a typescript copy of a letter, 25 January 1935, from Lord Rothermere to D. Lloyd George; the text of D. Lloyd George's speeches at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, 22 February 1935; notes for a speech at Edinburgh, 16 April 1935; and notes of a 'confidential talk', 11 March 1935, between D. Lloyd George and Leslie Hore-Belisha, the Minister of Transport.

'1936-7 File'. Includes a large number of press cuttings of the Royal Visit to Caernarfon in July 1937. D. Lloyd George was Constable of Caernarfon Castle. There are also typescript copies of a letter, 26 March 1937, from Neville Chamberlain to Winston Churchill, and of a letter, 1 April 1937, from Churchill to D. Lloyd George.

Copies of correspondence between Lord Atkin and the Archbishop of Wales, 1938, which were sent to Viscount Sankey by L. S. Whitehead; letters from the Archbishop of Wales to Viscount Sankey, 1938, and from the Archdeacon of Brecon, 1938; copies of bills and memoranda, notes, and press cuttings relating to the divorce dispute, 1937-1939. Also included is a High Court Judgement relating to a disputed annuity and further related papers, 1937-1938.

'1938 File'. The papers include a group of press cuttings relating to the golden wedding of D. Lloyd George and Dame Margaret in Jan. 1938.

Typescript draft, with some autograph revision, of Saunders Lewis's television play, '1938', first performed on BBC Wales Television, 27 February 1978, and subsequently published in Y Cyrnol Chabert a 1938 (Pen-y-groes: Gwasg Dwyfor, 1989); together with photocopies, some bearing autograph revision, of earlier typescript drafts containing some variation of text and passages omitted from the final version.

'1939 File', including the typescript text of D. Lloyd George's speeches at the Caxton Hall, 10 October 1939 (on the Council of Action), at the Pavilion, Caernarfon, on 21 October 1939, and a broadcast speech of 6 December 1939. There is also a typescript copy of a note, 20 November 1939, from Sir Samuel Hoare to D. Lloyd George.

'1940 File'. The papers include a typescript copy of a letter, 29 May 1940, from D. Lloyd George to Churchill concerning the possibility of D. Lloyd George's entering the War Cabinet; a memorandum, 12 September 1940, by D.
