A volume containing offprints and articles relating to Welsh Gypsy folk-tales, mainly from the Journal of the Gypsy Lore Society, collected and edited by John Sampson.

Photocopies of background notes in Welsh and English, lent by Rev. Emrys W. Evans to the Library in October 2009, to assist with cataloguing seven issues of a magazine entitled Cymro, produced by the Cymric Club in Stalag IVB, Muhlberg-on-Elbe, Germany, in 1943-1944, known as NLW MS 22424F. Also included are printouts of reminiscences by Gareth Prytherch, of Vancouver, Canada, a contributor to the above magazine, which were published online and information relating to Idwal Pugh who was also a prisoner of war at the same camp.

Papers of the novelist and playwright James Hanley, [1954]-2011, including an annotated script of 'The Queen of Ireland' (only copy), recorded for BBC Third Programme, 1960, signed by him and including a letter from him, 1981, and 'Levine', adapted for television by Catherine Dolan; transcripts of three interviews with James Hanley (one conducted by his son Liam Hanley); a list of his publications; photocopies of book reviews and locations of his manuscripts in other libraries; letters received by Liam Hanley relating to his father's works in particular the controversial novel Boy (London, 1990) and a note by him on his 'Portrait of his father' painted in 1983. -- Additional papers include a programme of his first play Say nothing, 1962, and reviews; letters sent to his friend Philip Barclay and obituaries of James Hanley

Papers of Gwen Davies relating to the translation and adaptation of the novel Martha, Jac a Sianco (Talybont, 2004) by Caryl Lewis into English published as Martha, Jack & Shanco by Parthian in 2007, together with editorial notes, and copies of both printed works. Album bound in black leather with gold tooling and slightly damaged. Includes commercially and privately produced photographs, many of Lancaster and the north west of England. Of particular note are images of the Yarlside Iron Mines, street scenes in Preston (Lancashire), Lancaster Quay Commissioners trip 188-, River Thames after a University boat race, numerous views of Downing Hall, Flintshire and grounds, some being snowscenes.

Album containing commercially produced postcards of views in Switzerland. Some are postally used. Places featured include Lucern, Jungfrau, Chateau d'Oex, Chillon, Chamonix, Lausanne, Ouchy & Bern. Most are printed but some are real photographic. One is applique.

Three holograph musical compositions by J. Morgan Lloyd: - a madrigal: 'Walking by a riverside; Rhodio gyda'r afon'; a contralto song: 'Cathl i'r Eos', 1932; and an extract from an orchestral overture.

Extracts by Charles Ashton from Dufief's Master Key to the Correct Pronunciation of French, an essay on 'Dwyfol sefydliad y Sabboth a pharhad y rhwymedigaeth o'i gadw', and an unfinished story entitled 'The Mendicant'.

A volume of exercises in commercial arithmetic and precedents of invoices compiled in 1826 by William Saunders Davies, a native of Brynhafod and afterwards shopkeeper of Felin-fach, co. Cardigan.

A photostat facsimile of Hampton L. Carson MS. 19 in the Free Library of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., U.S.A., being an imperfect fifteenth century manuscript containing extracts from the Record of Caernarvon (extracts from, and summaries of the provisions of, the Statute of Rhuddlan, 1284, and subsequent statutes of Wales, and an abstract of common petitions, and replies thereto, exhibited at the council of the Prince [of Wales, at Kennington, 1305]), pleas before Hugh de Audely, Justice of North Wales, at Caernarvon, 1307/8, etc.

A notebook of John Jones, Fynonlwyd, Llanginning, co. Carmarthen, containing agricultural accounts and memoranda, 1848-1852, and a few scriptural extracts, catechisms, and poetry.

A volume of typescript copies of 'Notes on Generation', 'Atmospheric Power or The Atmosphere in its application to Animal Existence', 'Notes on Physiology', etc., written during the period 1845-1848 by Henry John Nash. The volume also contains a photograph of the author and a cut-out example of his autograph, 1844.
