A MS vol. written for the most part towards the end of the eighteenth century, containing proofs of and reasons for various theological tenets, supported by scriptural references. On pp. 492 - 530 is 'A List of the Principal Errors, which have Troubled the Christian Church, especially since the Reformation; & an Index of Part of the Scriptures which refute the same'. The list is not altogether complete and the numbering suggests that some items have been left out. Then follows an index to the contents of the vol., and at the end are some notes added during the earlier part of the nineteenth century, partly in shorthand. In a pencil note J. R. Hughes states that the vol. was bought at Newport Market, 1936: 'Origin not known Author not known.'.
