There is also a power of attorney on parchment, 17 Aug. 1675. A file of 24 items, of which 19 are paper, some of 2 leaves, and 5 are parchment. All the items, especially the paper ones, are badly damaged by damp.

A file marked 'Cynddelw', containing sermons and drafts of sermons (in Welsh) and a letter, July 11 1873, from John Roberts, Gongolgam, Brundu [sic], Holyhead, co. Ang., on behalf of the church at Capelgwun [sic] to Mr R. Ellis, 'Cunddelw', inviting him to preach at their annual (preaching) meeting in Aug. The notes on the back of the letter are in the autograph of Robert Ellis, 'Cynddelw', and the (page) references are to Barddoniaeth Dafydd ab Gwilym, O grynhoad Owen Jones, a William Owen (Llundain, 1789). It is unlikely, however, that the sermons are in any way connected with him: the first is dated 'Henllan March 14th., 1830', with 'Ruabon April 2, 1848' in pencil on the back.

The only item which corresponds vaguely to the heading given above is a piece of paper originally addressed to the 'Rev. E. Evans, Ince, Cheshire' (crossed out), subsequently used for writing a draft of verses entitled 'Durandarte & Belerma'. The other items including mourning cards for the Rev. Evan Evans (dec. 21 Jan. 1855, aged 59), i.e. 'Ieuan Glan Geirionydd', Catherine Roberts, Tyddyn Gwilym, Trefriw, eldest sister of 'Ieuan Glan Geirionydd', dec. 24 April 1864, aged 75, and Charles Jones, also of Tyddyn Gwilym, Trefriw (dec. 2 Jan. 1891, aged 74), and a photograph of W. J. Roberts, 'Gwilym Cowlyd'; and a lithograph print of the Rev. John Elias ('Drawn on Stone by W. Roos from a Painting by H. Jones Pritchard by W. Doyle Liverpool').

A file marked 'Mrs F. Hemans & Family' and 'Felicia Hemans very early poems & letters &c. J. R. Hughes Wrexham (?) 1925'. Some of the papers are dated 1838, whereas Felicia Hemans dec. 1835, but there are one or two poems (? copies) by Felicia Hemans, and there is also a letter written from Bronwhilfa, May 7 1816, to Miss [Harriett] Browne at Bodlon[deb], Conway, containing first some light verse probably by [Felicia Hemans] - the signature has been cut away - then a letter from F. D. Browne to her daughter, and lastly a note from 'Goody' to Harriett.
