A memorandum book of the Reverend William Lloyd, Caernarvon, son of Robert Lloyd of Nefyn, and one of the three clergymen in North Wales who did not sever their connection with the Calvinistic Methodists after the first ordination in 1811. The volume contains statements of the writer's expenses at Jesus College, Oxford, 1798-1800; memoranda of the payment by Mr. Grindley of the writer's salary, 1802-1808 (£15 15s., being quarter's salary, 1802; £15 2s., being balance for serving Rhoscolyn, 1808); particulars of agricultural and household disbursements, 1811-1812; theological and sermon notes; a list of sermons preached at seventeen specified places in Anglesey, 7-23 December, 1827; and medical recipes.

A volume in the hand of William Williams (1738-1817), Llandygái, co. Caernarfon, author, antiquary, and official of the Cae-braich-y-cafn slate quarry, containing accounts and memoranda, 1778-1791 (ff. 1 verso-34), including particulars of payments to servants and labourers, 1778-1789, churchwarden's accounts, 1778-1780, and accounts, 1779-1781, relating to the 'Bangor Building'. Also included are draft letters, 1807-1809, mostly addressed to the Rev. Dr Samuel Bulkeley (d. 1809), Prebendary of Bristol, and relating mainly to the building of a schoolhouse at Coedana, Anglesey (ff. 35 verso-76 verso, inverted text), and notes in Welsh and English (ff. 77-82 verso, inverted text).

Memorandum book, 1770-[c. 1810], of John Evans, shipwright, containing records of his employment and of letters received, addresses of manufacturers and vendors of pottery and household goods, medicinal recipes, household accounts, references to Wesleyan Methodist sermons heard in England, and professional and family notes.
Numerous references suggest that Evans was a native of Pembrokeshire, perhaps of Haverfordwest, and that he left the county in November 1770 (f. 1) to enter into employment at 'the king yeard' [?the Royal Dockyard at Devonport, Plymouth] (f. 2). Further family memoranda, up to about 1852, were added by his children, John, Ann and Charles Evans and Mary Pow(e) and Mary's daughter Ann Chegwiden Powe.

Memoranda of an excise officer,
A notebook containing memoranda, 1781-1794, of Isaac Lloyd, an excise officer stationed at Pwllheli and later Bangor, mainly relating to his work. They include petitions requesting transfers of duties, examples of summonses and other legal documents, chemical tests for beers, wines and spirits, medical recipes and personal and family memoranda (ff. 1-21, 25-28 verso, 29 verso-31, 40 verso-41, 42 recto-verso, 43 verso-45, 46 recto-verso, inside back cover). The volume was subsequently used to record farming accounts and memoranda, 1803-1809, probably by Thomas Edwards, a farmer in the vicinity of Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, and Church Stoke, Montgomeryshire (ff. 11, 28 verso-29, 32-40, 41-43, 45 verso-46, inside back cover).
Family births and deaths were later recorded in the volume by Edwards and his descendants, the last entry being made in 1911 (ff. 10, 11, 21-24 verso, 28 verso, 41, 44 verso).
