Tune book, 1789, of Georgina Craven, containing arrangements of contemporary songs and dance tunes, including (ff. 1-6) three apparently unpublished songs composed, 1786-1789, by her mother, Lady Elizabeth Craven, Margravine of Anspach (1750-1828, DNB) (see Brio, 29 (1992), pp. 95-6).

A diary by Emrys Hunter Evans (1880-1970), son of John Gwenogvryn Evans, of holidays, mostly spent with his parents in Old Colwyn, co. Denbigh, during the summer of 1893; the diary also contains references to J. Gwenogvryn Evans visiting Lord Mostyn (ff. 20, 24).

A volume containing notes, 1902, on the landscape and history of Wales, probably in the hand of James Matthew Thompson (1878-1956), fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, extracted from various printed sources, notably Thomas Pennant's Tours in Wales, and John Leland's Itinerary, with index (pp. 273-5).

Notebook, 1919-1920, containing an account, in diary form, of the voyages of Arthur Jones, a passenger on board the coal-carrying SS Edith trading between Burry Port and Rouen, together with miscellaneous notes.

Account book, 1846-1856, of Rowland Thomas ('Idris Ddu', 1789-1856) of Merthyr Tudful, co. Glamorgan, containing records of payments to members of the Solid Rock of Wales Society ('Cymdeithas Cadarn Graig y Cymry') meeting at the Harp, Penllwynderi, Merthyr, together with other miscellaneous accounts and memoranda, including an account of William Howel's journey with Abel Evans (d. 1866) and the Mormons from Merthyr to St Louis, Missouri, 1849 (ff. 79-81); additions, 1859-1868, in the hand of Rowland Thomas's son, William R. Thomas, include verses in Welsh (ff. 26v, 119v), and brief details of literary competitions at the National Eisteddfod, Rhuthun, 1868 (ff. 118v-19).

A volume containing arithmetical exercises, form letters and stories, compiled by John Lloyd (b. 1808) of Pant, parish of Llanegryn, co. Merioneth, 1824-1825, whilst a pupil at Mr Harling's Commercial School, Chester; family memoranda, including copy letters from John Lloyd's father, David Lloyd, have been added, [1820s]-1847 (ff. 344v-345, 378v-380).

An autograph album belonging to the Parry family of Glan Paith, Cardiganshire, containing sketches and quotations. The autographs include those of Rowland Hill, aged 86, 2 November 1830, W[illiam] Howels, Long Acre, 1831, Hannah More, 1831, Robert Philip, London, 1831, John Elias, 1831, Henry Rogers, 1831, Alf. Bishop, Bristol, 1832, J[ohn] Leifchild, 1832, Joshua Russell and John Poole, 1837. The sketches include a pencil drawing of Tintern Abbey by M. H. Evans.

Research notes and a draft catalogue of the worksheets of In Parenthesis and The Anathemata by David Jones compiled at the Library in 1981, together with a list of letters by Tony Stoneburner, 1977, a catalogue of parts of the archive by Harman Grisewood, and a Catalogue of the artist's drawings and papers in the possession of the David Jones Trustees in 1992, prepared by Matilda and Douglas Hall.

A typescript copy of the memoirs of Arthur Sydney Parfitt, 2002, as written by his son Lewis Parfitt. The work portrays Arthur Parfitt's involvement with the St John's Ambulance movement, and with the struggle to provide basic First Aid facilities at the pithead in South Wales collieries during the early part of the 20th century.

Letters, papers, press cuttings, photographs and other illustrations, etc., [c. 1853]-[c. 1869], dealing mainly with the statue by John Gibson, R.A. (1790-1866) called 'The Tinted Venus' and probably collected by Mrs Robert Berthon Preston of Liverpool. There are numerous letters from Gibson to Mr & Mrs Preston, the other correspondents including Mr Preston, Owen Jones (1809-1874), Benjamin E. Spence (1822-1866), Lady Eastlake (1809-1893) and persons connected with the International Exhibition of 1862 held in London, where 'The Tinted Venus' was exhibited.
