Three letters, two dated 1979 and the third, 1987, from George Ewart Evans to David Michael. In the second letter he thanks the recipient for sending him [Evan Jones's] book Cymdogaeth Soar-y-mynydd (Swansea, c. 1979). In the third letter he describes a meeting with George M. Ll. Davies at a holiday camp which he had established for the unemployed in an old brewery in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Three letters, 1869-1874, to James Kenward, FSA ('Elfynydd'), writer and poet, from H. B. Biden of Nottingham and London. They describe in detail walks and climbs in Snowdonia, South Wales and the Lake District, and include notes and comments on flora, geology, local guides and lodgings, the death of [John Williams] ab Ithel, Llandanwg church, co. Merioneth, the effects on the landscape of industrial and other development, guidebooks to Wales, Kenward's For Cambria: themes in verse and prose (London, 1868), and Oriel: a study in Eighteen Hundred and Seventy (London, 1871), and Biden's own publishing problems.

Six letters and fragment of another, 1861-1864, from Guiseppe Mazzini (1805-1872), advocate of Italian unity, to William Rees (Gwilym Hiraethog), one of which is written on a printed circular for subscribers to an association to succeed the Friends of Italy (ff. 1-13). Four of the letters have been published in William Rees (Hiraethog): A Memoir by his son Ebenezer Rees, ed. by H. Elvet Lewis, M.A. (Liverpool, 1915); see also NLW Journal vol. I (1940), p. 149. Also included is a postcard, 1880, from William Ewart Gladstone (1809-1898), to Gwilym Hiraethog (f. 14).

An adjudication of the competition Rhestr o Wyr a fu'n flaenllaw gyda Llen, Cân, Celfyddyd a Gwyddor yng ngwahanol ardaloedd Sir Gaernarfon o 1750-1900, gyda bywgraffiadau byrion ohonynt, in which MSS 13701-13702 were the only two entries.

A typescript draft of 'Have a Cigarette', an English translation by Saunders Lewis of his play 'Gymerwch Chi Sigaret? (Llandybie, 1956); the translation is apparently unperformed and unpublished.
The English translation amends the original Welsh version in some places, particularly in the second act, the most substantial emendation being an entirely new beginning to that act (ff. 18-21). There are also manuscript emendations and annotations by the author and another unidentified hand. The manuscript title-page (f. i) is in the hand of Saunders Lewis.

Nissen of the diaries, 1859-1863, of John Baker Gabb (1826-1893), the diaries, 1860, 1863-1864, of David Baker Gabb (1836-1864), two letters, 1864, relating to the death of David Baker Gabb and genealogical notes and pedigree charts relating to the Baker Gabb family. Mr Owen allowed the Library to photocopy his work entitled 'The Boer War Adventures of Edward, Duncan and Logie Fitzwilliams', containing extracts from the letters and diaries of the three sons of Charles Home Lloyd Fitzwilliams, Cilgwyn, Newcastle Emlyn. The first volume relates to Edward Charles Lloyd Fitzwilliams, October 1899-December 1901, and the second to Duncan Campbell Lloyd Fitzwilliams, March 1900-March 1901, and William Logie Lloyd Fitzwilliams, February 1900-May 1901.

Papers of Alwena Roberts ('Telynores Iâl), 1923-1981, renowned harpist and teacher of the harp. The collection comprises letters, albums containing the autographs of many famous people, a diary, invitations to various functions, press cuttings, and other miscellaneous papers, together with papers of John Peter Roberts, Alwena Roberts's father, including his letters to and from members of his family, and birth, marriage and death certificates of various members of the family. The collection includes a letter, 1932, from J. Lloyd Williams, to the Principal of the University of Wales, explaining his reasons for resigning from the Music Committee of the University.
