A collection of manuscripts, papers and pamphlets relating to various public activities in which Edwin Jones (1842-1932) took a prominent part, consisting of material of educational and religious interest.

Records of the Edwinsford estate of the Williams, later Williams-Drummond, family in Carmarthenshire, including deeds, 1411-1860; manorial records, 1500-1744, including records of the manor of Talley, 1551-1744, and Caio, 1500-1734; estate correspondence, 1580-1863, (mainly post 1700), estate and household accounts, 1654, 1670-1903, and rentals, 1707-1843; deeds relating to the Llether Cadfan estate, 1474-1760, and Court Derllys estate, 1563-1805, both in Carmarthenshire.

Papers, [c. 1650]-1828, relating to estates and lordships in Carmarthenshire, including rentals of the Golden Grove estate and of the lordship of Cydweli, and an order-book of the borough of Llanelli; together with miscellaneous papers, 1746-1909, relating to the Williams and Drummond Williams family of Edwinsford, Carmarthenshire, comprising mainly correspondence and army commissions; and letter-books, 1807-1833, of Jacob Richards of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, mainly relating to business and estate matters, including Richards's investments in India. The relationship, if any, between NLW MSS 22870-22871 - those papers relating to the Williams family and to Jacob Richards - and the rest of the collection has not been established.

Additional material, donated December 2021, comprises a printed volume: 'Llyvyr Taliessin ... The Text of the Book of Taliesin' (ed. J. Gwenogvryn Evans (1910)) inscribed to and annotated by Egerton Phillimore; a postcard note addressed to Egerton Phillimore from minister, academic and lexicographer Daniel Silvan Evans relating to place-names referenced in the Book of Taliesin; and a newspaper cutting, 17 August 1916, containing a review of Llyvyr Taliessin.

Liber de regimine principum of Giles of Rome (Egidius Romanus), on ff. 1-262 verso. The text is defective by the loss of two leaves, cut out, after f. 192 (breaking off in Book III, part 2, cap. 17, resuming in cap. 19) and the loss of a quire after f. 198 (breaking off in Book III, part 3, cap. 4, resuming in cap. 11). Written by a single secretary hand. Blue initials with red penwork, 6-line on f. 1 and 5-line on f. 178 (for Book III). Capitula at the beginning of each part of each Book; sidenotes provided by the scribe throughout; no index. This manuscript is not included by C. F. Briggs either in his 'Manuscripts of Giles of Rome's De regimine principum in England, 1300-1500: a handlist', Scriptorium, 47 (1993), pp. 60-73, or the list in his Giles of Rome's De Regimine Principum (Cambridge, 1999).

Compiled mainly by David Evans (Sylwedydd, 1883-c. 1960), former secretary of the church, they were used, 1953-1955, by Timothy Lewis (1877-1958), Aberystwyth, when preparing his centenary article Mirain Deml Moriah [Aman], 1855-1955 (see the NLW typescript list Timothy Lewis Manscripts and Papers (1962).
