Estate and family records of the Puleston family of Emral, Flintshire, [14 cent.]-[19 cent.], comprising deeds relating to the Puleston estates mainly in Flintshire and Denbighshire, 1394-1849; judicial proceedings, 1546-1791; rentals and surveys, 1485-1786; estate accounts, bills and other financial papers, 1568-1847; manorial records, mainly for the manor of Shocklack, Cheshire, 1461-1788; business correspondence, 1551-1816, mainly 1770s-1790s; and deeds, legal papers and correspondence relating to the Irish estates of the Parry family of Dublin and the Price family of Bryn y Pys, Denbighshire, relating mainly to premises in Dublin, 1485-1795, including papers of John Parry, bishop of Ossory.

Records of the Lleweni estate, Denbighshire, and papers of the Salusbury family of Llewenni, consisting mainly of letters, deeds and other legal documents. The letters are mainly to or from members of the Salusbury family, 1546-1645, the greater number belonging to the last fifteen years of that period, and relating to Sir Thomas Salusbury, the second baronet. The letters are mainly family correspondence and business letters from estate agents, lawyers, and servants of the household. A few are in the nature of news-letters, particularly those written by James Lloyd, [c. 1640], when relations between Charles I and his Parliament were becoming strained. The deeds and legal documents, 1357-1800, relate to the Llewenni estate in Anglesey, Caernarfonshire, Denbighshire and Flintshire.

The archive comprises entirely of deeds and documents, 1446-1934, relating to the Caerhun estate in Anglesey, Caernarfonshire, Denbighshire, and associated estates of Downing, Flintshire, and Llechwedd Garth in Montgomeryshire.

This is a numbered series currently (August 2006) reaching 1615. The deposits included in it are minor in the sense that they consist of single items, or small groups of documents or papers where the group has been treated as a single item. There is one medieval missal, a few literary manuscripts, a large number of registers and other records from chapels, and much else.

Deeds, documents and plans, 1455-1895, relating to properties in Anglesey, Caernarfonshire, Denbighshire, Merionethshire and Montgomeryshire; including papers of the Poole family, owners of the Caenest and Pencraig estates in Merionethshire and Anglesey; surveys, [c. 1770] of the Caenest and Pencraig estates; and building leases for properties in the port of Amlwch, [late 18th century].

Papers and art work of Clifford McLucas, including correspondence and papers relating to performance work created by him; his installation work and projects; proposals, reports and articles prepared by him for a number of bodies and organisations; his graphic design and art work, including examples of art work; papers relating to the architectural aspects of his work; and papers relating to the deep mapping work and projects carried out by him; together with papers relating to his general research interests, and to his professional and personal life in general.

Family papers and estate records, 1534-1872, mainly of the Edwards family of Cerrigllwydion, Denbighshire, and Dolserau, Merioneth, with a smaller amount of material of the Richards family of Caerynuwch, including family and estate letters, 1776-1859, deeds relating to the estate in Merioneth, Denbighshire and Flintshire, 1534-1859, and miscellaneous papers (mainly financial), [late 17 cent.]-1872.

Deeds, 1448-1841, including wills and marriage settlements; legal papers, [c. 1570]-1756; and accounts, 1731-1744, of the Hafodgaregog and Trefan estates mainly lying in Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire, together with the correspondence of Maurice Williams of Hafodgaregog, 1620-1666.

The 1933-1934, 1964-1965 and 1985-1986 deposits, listed as Cilgwyn Estate Records Groups I, II and III respectively, comprise estate records and family papers including title deeds, 1509-1949; rentals of the Cilgwyn estate, 1791-1931, and the Paddington estate, 1792-1921; ledgers, 1882-1936; letter books and estate correspondence, 1825-1935; personal correspondence and papers, including papers relating to the military career of Edward Crawford Lloyd Fitzwilliams, 1890-1934, during the Boer War, including diaries, 1899-1901, and the First World War (British Adriatic Mission, Northern Command, Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force), and to the medical career of Gerard Lloyd Hall Fitzwilliams in the Far East, Africa, United States and Europe, 1902-1932, and including Russia, 1917-1918, and a letter book of Edward Hall (first secretary of the Whig Club) containing copies of letters written to his brother and uncle in Kingston, Jamaica, 1783-1795; records of the borough of Adpar, Cardiganshire, including rentals, [1670]-[1696], and court leet books, 1709-1741; records of the New Quay Harbour Company, 1834-1900 and the Llandysul Market Company, 1837-1858; ships' log books, 1893-1897; and parochial papers of the parish of Paddington, 1730-1803, acquired and inherited by Benjamin Crompton as churchwarden and overseer of the poor, including land tax assessments, 1758-1791, account book, 1774-1777, of fees paid for burials in the new church, and apprenticeship indentures of pauper children, 1762-1776. -- The 2002 deposit includes family and personal papers, 1790-1960, correspondence, 1873-1939, rentals, 1850-1941, and other estate papers, 1865-[c.1953]. Estate records, 1429-1834, and legal papers,1733-1779, of the Eriviat estate in the parishes of Henllan, Denbigh, St. Asaph, etc., and the Rhydonen estate in Llantysilio, Denbighshire, together with some deeds and legal papers of the Clough family of Plas Clough and the Salesbury family of Bryn y Barcut, both Denbighshire.

Title deeds and other documents of depositor's clients, 1557-1939, relating to properties in Brecknockshire, 1557-1939, in particular to the Little Bell, Brecon, 1759-1883, and to the Pant Griffith estate, Merthyr Cynog, 1705-1856; in Glamorgan, 1731-1920, including the Court Rhyd-hir estate, 1731-1920; and in Radnorshire, 1639-1800, Monmouthshire, 1756-1834, and Herefordshire, 1557-1763.

Papers, 1825-1912, of, or acquired by, the painter Henry Clarence Whaite, including correspondence, bills and vouchers, press cuttings, exhibition catalogues and related printed material, reflecting his work as an artist and as President of both the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal Cambrian Academy; together with papers, 1825-1862, of the Whaite family of Manchester, and papers, 1873-1913, of the artist's daughter, Lily Whaite, a member of the Gwynedd Ladies' Art Society.

Twenty-six letters to H. Clarence Whaite from Frederick Alfred Slocombe, and his nephew Shirley Slocombe. These remain uncatalogued.

A collection of additional letters, 1900-1904, to Lily Whaite from her future husband, John Harris, Vicar of Harlech. This group remains uncatalogued.

A further consignment of papers were acquired by the Library, including diaries and journals documenting all Whaite's paintings and the exhibitions they were sent to from the early 1870s onwards. This group remains uncatalogued.

Music manuscripts and miscellaneous papers, 1893-[1999], transferred on the closure of the Welsh Music Information Centre, Cardiff, comprising a large number of music scores and sketches. Among the composers represented in the archive are Robert Bruce, Dilys Elwyn Edwards, John Edwards, J. R. Heath, Alun Hoddinott, Arwel Hughes, Idris Lewis, Ian Parrott and Grace Williams.

The collection, 1735-1778, comprises a 'short account' of Howell Harris's life, a long series of diaries, 1735-1772, memoranda, 'observations' and notes, prayers, a few letters, a note, 1742, on the differences between Howell Harris (and John Whitefield) and John Wesley, a statement, 1744, on Harris's intended marriage, extracts from diaries, spiritual observations, minutes of associations, miscellaneous memoranda and receipts, and a series of notes relating to 'affairs at Trevecka'.
