Papers created and compiled by Peter Reynolds in his work as a composer of musical works, a writer and critic, and his lecture notes. Musical compositions include full orchestral scores, parts works, arrangements, draft works and sketches. Research papers and notes covering musical compositions, composers and artists, accumulated during his research for the writing of programme notes and his copywriting. Some of these files contain historical items collected for reference. Subject files and a large collection of concert and event literature. Teaching notes for lectures at WCMD and his composers workshops.
Two boxes of audio material have been transferred to The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales.

Records relating mainly to the industrial concerns of the Crawshay family of Cyfarthfa, Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, [1706]-1878, including letters and letter books of William Crawshay I and II and Robert Crawshay, 1806-1877; cash books, ledgers and bankers drafts, 1834-1888; deeds, [1706]-1885; wills, deeds and miscellaneous material, 1801-1838; balance sheets for ironworks, 1810-1867; will, valuation and probate for William Crawshay II, 1865-1869; shares and bills of exchange, 1870-1878; and Hilston Park estate papers, 1838-1862 and Caversham Park estate papers, 1826-1864. The archive represents the working papers of a major ironworking dynasty.

Correspondence and research notes of Dr. A.W.L.Seaman relating to politics in Merthyr Tudful before 1914, comprising correspondence and papers relating to the biographies of three members of parliament for Merthyr Tudful (c. 1880-1914), namely William Pritchard-Morgan, Keir Hardie, and Edgar Jones (including letters from Edgar Jones, 1960-1961,) and newspaper cuttings and ephemera relating to the Merthyr Tydfil parliamentary election, January 1910.

Deeds, 1542-1797, relating to properties in Glamorgan, Brecknockshire and Carmarthenshire; memorandum book of ?Samuel Owsley and William Owsley of Brecon, with notes on rents, taxes and local events and history, 1679-1768; fragment of an antiphonal, [15th century]; a copy of The Reports of Sir Henry Hobart, Lord Chief Justice of Common Pleas, 1650; and a copy of The Larvae of the British Lepidoptera and their food plants, 1880.

Deeds relating mainly to Carmarthenshire, 1531-1857, and to other Welsh counties including Brecknockshire, 1655-1800, Cardiganshire, 1628-1819, Glamorgan, 1673-1792, Monmouthshire, 1636-1795, Montgomeryshire, 1675-1702, Pembrokeshire, 1724-1811, and Radnorshire, 1689-1773. There is no apparent connection between the deeds.

Monmouthshire deeds and documents, 1477-1761, some concerning the families of Thomas, Kemeys and Gardner (later Gardner-Kemeys) of Bertholey, Llantrissent; together with a small number of deeds and documents relating to properties in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Brecknockshire, 1513-1775; Cardiganshire, 1578-1755; Yorkshire, 1398-1605, and Lincolnshire, 1563.

Deeds and documents, 1515-1898, relating principally to Wales, in particular Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire, Monmouthshire and Glamorgan. The collection does not relate to a single particular family or estate, but the Cardiganshire documents mainly relate to Aberystwyth and Llanbadarn Fawr.

Documents collected by Col. Sir John Conway Lloyd, including over a thousand deeds, 1323-1870, relating to properties in the counties of Brecon, Glamorgan, Hereford, Monmouth, Radnor, Cardigan, Carmarthen, Gloucester, and London; together with various documents, including letters and papers relating to the Lloyd family and other estates. In addition, the archive consists of deeds and documents, 1588-1864, mainly of industrial interest accumulated by John Lloyd (1833-1915), pertaining to the New Weare ironworks, Goodrich, Hereford; the Hirwaun ironworks; the Beaufort Iron Company, the Clydach ironworks; the Dowlais Iron Company; and the Bute Works. A substantial group of Dinas Estate records has been transferred to the Maybery Collection.

Sheep Register, printed and sold by W. Whittington, Wind Street, Neath, used to record almost three hundred earmarks from farms in co. Glamorgan, 1904.

An autograph letter, 3 September [16]08, from Fr[ancis Godwin, bishop of] Llandaff, from Mathern, to [Richard Bancroft], archbishop of Cant[erbury], on behalf of the clergy of Glamorganshire. The writer informs the archbishop that the clergy of the said shire, having been summoned 'to shewe their armour before the Lieutennantes of the cou[ntie] . . ., and their men to be mustred', were very perplexed, not 'knowing how to satisfy this comaund, for that they neuer were yett rated at any armour, but only once, viz., some 13 yeares since'. If they were rated as highly on the present as on the previous occasion, owing to their poverty, they would not be able to meet the demands made upon them without suffering great hardship. They begged, therefore, to be allowed to petition the Privy Council for a reduction in the demands to be made on this occasion
