I am writing to inform you that your letter giving details of the case of Shah Muhammad Shakir has arrived. Following your instructions we made full efforts so that the Prince had to leave this area. Afterwards he sent a number of messages to open negotiations with us but as he does not fulfil the agreements he has made with the English and we do not want any trouble in this region, we did not pay any heed to his requests
