Note on front page in Maud's hand: 'I hope there is nothing objectionable in this Introduction? [signed] R. N. Maud'. The work would be published in 1967 by New Directions (New York) as Poet in the Making: The Notebooks of Dylan Thomas, edited by Ralph Maud, who was at the time Assistant Professor of English at the State University of New York and considered an expert on Dylan Thomas. As one of Dylan Thomas's literary executors, Daniel Jones would have been consulted regarding any published work of Thomas's.
