Typescript letters to various recipients,

Typescript copies, produced [1965x1980], of letters and postcards, dated 1931-1951, from Dylan Thomas held at the State University of New York Buffalo. Among the recipients are Pamela Hansford Johnson, 1933-1935, Geoffrey Grigson, 1933-1934, Trevor Hughes, 1931-1934, Henry Treece, 1938-1939, John Gawsworth, 1947-1948, and Donald Taylor, 1944-1951.

Miscellaneous material

Two photographs of the novelist, playwright, poet and literary and social critic Pamela Hansford Johnson (later Baroness Snow), one dated 6 October 193[?6]. One appears to be a studio photograph, the other more informal. During the early 1930s, Pamela Hansford Johnson was a close friend of Dylan Thomas, the two having briefly considered marriage.

Photocopies and typescript copies, produced [1955x2000], of seven letters from Dylan Thomas, dated [?1935]-1953, found loose amongst papers acquired in this group. Most were published in Paul Ferris ed., The collected letters of Dylan Thomas (London, 1985). Among the recipients are Marguerite Caetani (2), Pamela Hansford Johnson, J. Oliver Stephens, and Vernon Watkins (signed by VW).
