Addresses relating to the political scene in Wales, written by Saunders Lewis on behalf of his daughter, Mair Saunders Jones, the donor; three are from the late 1940s and another from the 1950s.

They relate mainly to their personal relationship, but also contain references to his imprisonment, 1937 (ff. 48-9), George M. Ll. Davies (ff. 29 verso-30, 41), the 1922 parliamentary election (ff. 1-3), Saunders Lewis (f. 14 verso), and Welsh nationalism (ff. 45-8).

Letters to Elwyn Davies, translator and poet, from literary friends. They contain personal news and observations on the correspondents' own writing, on Anglo-Welsh literature and on current affairs in Wales. The main correspondents are Raymond Garlick (44) 1963-1980, Glyn Jones (23) 1934, 1944-1981, and Roland Mathias (7) 1965-1972.

R. Daniel, Camberwell, etc., to J[ohn] Lloyd Humphreys, Dolawel, Blaenau Ffestiniog [brother of David Lloyd Humphreys, and quarry manager, etc.], 1918-1930 and undated (books, World War I, an appreciation of [J.] Glyn Davies, the writer's health, the collection of dialect terms, an appreciation of W. Llewelyn Williams, comments on [John Davies] 'Siôn Gymro', parliamentary elections and current politics, the preservation of the Welsh language, observations on [Elfennau Gwleidyddiaeth by J.] Jones Roberts, personal, news of friends, etc.).

Some thirty letters, 1925-1940, from the Dutch scholar Theodor Max Chotzen to Dr E. D. Jones. Written mainly in Welsh, they contain personal news, details of the writer's publications, references to contemporary Welsh scholars, and observations on political events in Wales. Also included is a letter, 1946, from his widow containing information concerning her husband's imprisonment by the Germans and subsequent death on 27 February 1945.
